My family and I spent 5 nights in Ellenabeich over Christmas in 7 Tramway Cottages, and this place was 2 minutes walk away (just as almost everything is in this small, picturesque village). 25 October until the last weekend in March is deemed Winter Season in Ellenabeich, and most of the tourist attractions (such as the Seafari boat trips) are... Spent a few days at the Bar with my fiancée. Great food great staff and friendly locals. Love the way of life here and feel we've made new friends. Can't wait until we're back next year.

We felt very much at home in this small but surprisingly busy little pub. Beautiful views from the deck and great service.

We came in late and started with two tables of four, later to be joined by another couple. The staff were amenable and efficient. Meals were fast and very tasty, and the drinks selection was excellent, and delicious.

We dined on two consecutive nights at the oyster and on both nights the food was very good and the service great. We would have spent other evenings there but unfortunately it was not open (for food) during the other nights of our stay. We would recommend to other visitors.

This is a good friendly pub/restaurant and always seemed busy. The food was good and plentiful with a relaxed atmosphere.

My friend and I tried to have dinner here on a Monday night. We walked into the restaurant, past the bartender, and sat down for dinner. We waited several minutes and no one helped us. We approached the bartender and she stated that dinner is not served there on Monday nights. I found it ridiculous that we had to approach... More

We have not served food on a Monday evening for the last 5 years, and the fact that the restaurant is closed on a Monday evening is quite plainly stated on our hours of business located at the entrance to the premises It is also customary (and common curtesy) upon entering a public house, when no prior booking has been... Visited here on a beautifully sunny day in September and enjoyed an excellent light lunch at the Oyster Bar. My crab baguette was nothing short of superb, the local crab in a very light dressing burst with flavour and was complimented by a good salad. My wife had the burger which was excellent as well. Even better out 2 dogs... More

We are a small family run pub/restaurant located on the beautiful west coast of Argyll in Scotland, while our speciality is seafood we have an extensive menu which caters to all tastes including vegetarians and a children's menu is available. A one time micro brewery which was closed in 2008 we still serve local real cask ale and a variety of wines are behind the bar to compliment our menuThere is a rear decking area with superb views across the sea taking in many of the inner Hebridean Islands. We are a seasonal establishment which operates in accordance with customer numbers throughout the year and may be closed on certain nights even during the summer season. There are considerably reduced opening times between end October until April, please contact us for details if required at any time of the year to ensure up to date information.
