When we arrived we ordered our drinks, but the waiter failed to tell us that the wait would be well over 45 minutes. When the food finally arrived it was standard, but the cheese on my cheese burger was completely frazzled.

Visited here in the middle of the week for an evening meal with friends: it was absolutely packed, so make sure you've booked a table in advance. It's your typical pub, cosy with the promise of some good comfort food. No-one gets too dressed up....More

Description
This is a large moorland Country Pub that offers dining in the pub or in the restaurant. Excellent menu and wine list, warm and friendly welcome. Four of us ate 3 delicious courses here on a midweek evening 2 bottles of wine and beer £130 staggering value for money as the food was both delicious and well presented....a very pleasant suprise indeed and deserving to be represented on TripAdvisor.
