Had a fabulous Sunday Lunch here earlier in the year. The roast beef was cooked to perfection and the gravy was sublime. I had bread n butter pudding for dessert which was lush! All staff were very welcoming, cant wait for our next visit!

We had the pleasure of visiting this gem of a country inn last week, while visiting with family. We had a selection of meals across our party and all were impressed, especially with the chips lol! Waiting and bar staff were very attentive. We will definately be back!

From start to finish me and my partner loved this pub! The welcoming staff were fantastic so we decided to try the food. The food was by far the best pub food we have ever eaten, a proper portion size with the nicest chips! I had the best steak and onion sandwich and she really enjoyed the fish and chips!... More

The Cider Bar is regularly updated and there will be more appearing for the Summer season so there's always something new to try alongside regular favourites. We'll see you again soon and thank you again. Kind regards Lyn & Dean More

Having read in the Sunday telegraph that this quaint country pub was voted top in the area for their Sunday roasts we just had to check it out. We were not disappointed. Great home cooking and plenty of it. The hosts were pleasant and cheerful - great to see the village boozer doing well. Keep up the good work team,... More

We have visited here a few times over the years. We are always surprised why we don't go more often. The staff are friendly (and Northern!) The setting is pleasant and the food is lovely! My daughter was very excited by her cheesy (home made) chips! and local ice-cream. Both my husband and I enjoyed our meals, I chose the... More

Hi J O Thank you for your compliments and for taking time to add a review. You're very welcome to come back as often as you like :-) We're delighted you enjoyed the food, especially the ham which we cook and glaze here. It was very busy over the Easter weekend but fortunately the weather was good so we made... More

We went to Bridford for a few days and ate here everyday- the food is brilliant (everything locally sourced and organic), we particularly enjoyed the fish and chips and the hot sandwiches for lunch! The landlord and lady are really lovely people, you really feel welcome! Not to mention the amazing walks and views around this area - but be... More

Hi honestreviewer12342 Thank you for your glowing review. It was lovely to see you and we're glad you found your way back from the various walks. The Cider Board is certainly very popular and we're pleased you enjoyed the ones you tasted - we mix them up quite regularly so there'll probably be a different selection next time you're here.... Once again I received a friendly welcome on arrival after my walk. As usual the food was excellent (ham egg and chips) and I was able to try more of the local cider selection, Lilleys apple mead being my favourite. I have got some more walking routes in mind so I will be back to try other gluten free options... More

Hi k r Thank you again for another lovely review - we're sorry we missed you, think you were here on our day off. I adore this pub, it's sufficiently far from Exeter to feel like an outing but it's not local yokel at all. The landlord and lady are so relaxed and friendly and the roast beef is just gorgeous so tender. We have been for a roast several times and have always had fantastic food. I really really wish it were our... More

Hi CharlotteH964 & George Thank you for another lovely review. It's always a pleasure to see you and we're delighted you love the Sunday roasts so much. Went here for lunch with family. When we got there it was quite but it soon filled up. The lunch that we all had was lovely. I only had a light lunch but it was all home made and the rest of my family said theirs was good as well. The only thing I found was it felt cold inside,... More

Hi finelady44 Thank you for your lovely review, we're delighted you like the place and enjoyed your visit. I'm sorry if you felt the room was cold on the day. Description
South Devon CAMRA Pub of the Year 2015. The Bridford Inn is a family run 17th Century inn in the pretty village of Bridford in the Teign Valley, Dartmoor National Park. The pub was originally two cottages and retains all the character and charm with exposed beams, stone walls & a large inglenook fire-place with a log burner and original bread oven. We allegedly have the widest bar in the south west and our south facing beer garden looks out over the beautiful Dartmoor countryside - perfect for the summer months. Families, dogs & horses are welcome and we're well placed for walkers, riders, cyclists and visitors to Dartmoor. We have a range of local and national cask ales (We're in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide), malt whisky, popular wines and home cooked delicious local food served in our relaxed & informal bar. Check out our Cider & Scrumpy bar with a selection of 15 real ciders to try and our extensive collection of Gins. See our website for details of our menu, opening times, what's on and how to get in touch with enquiries or bookings.
