Brilliant pub/restaurant with extensive menu. Food was very high quality and staff were friendly. Ambience is nice with a great mix between a country pub and high-end eatery. Definitely recommened if you are in the area of staying at the Haycock.

Peasant enough pub serving pretty average food. Nothing I saw or ate inspired me. Duck croquettes sounded nice but had little taste. Mostly left, despite spouse's hunger. Sticky toffee pudding OK but a lot left as being too sickly. Fish and chips were OK, tatare...More

Description
Located in the picturesque village of Wansford, nine miles from the city of Peterborough, The Paper Mills Country Pub and Restaurant offers hearty food in a charming rural setting whether you are looking for a relaxed drink and classic pub grub in the bar or a more formal dining experience in the restaurant.

In the winter while away a chilly evening by our roaring fire with a pint of our real ale and in the summer enjoy a chilled glass of rose amidst the historic charms of Wansford in one of our many outdoor seating areas.

The stone-built rustic surroundings serve to enhance the locally sourced seasonal menu and carefully chosen selection of cask ales and fine wines creating a welcoming atmosphere for both locals and visitors.

Food Served Monday to Saturday 12noon-2.15Pm and 6.00Pm-9.00Pm and Sunday from 12noon - 4pm.

Our Head chef creates an extensive menu that epitomises country pub dining. Changed daily to ensure that you receive the best of the seasons. There is something for all tastes, from succulent belly of pork to delicate whole plaice.

We work closely with our suppliers, who are committed to provenance and fair trade to bring only the best produce to your plate.

The bar features a great choice of real ales and wines. We provide a selection of local ales from local suppliers such as Digfield and Oakham. Our resident ale is London Pride which is extremely popular with our locals. We are always searching for new and interesting wines from many local wine merchants creating an extensive wine list with something for every pallet.
