Very rude demeanor over the phone both times we called. Totally offputting! A polite tone would go amiss!

Had a lovely Sunday lunch yesterday at Tafarn Sinc. Greeted by very welcoming friendly staff who were the same cheery people throught our meal. They only serve the lunch and pudding (no starters) on a sunday but it was ample. I had beef, which was delicious, and served with roast potatoes and Yorkshire pudding. The vegetables were served in tureens... More

Came here for lunch, got served Canteen style food straight out of the freezer. Not exactly Welsh cuisine at it finest, more like tourist fodder cooking at its lowest!

What an unusual place. Lovely atmosphere. A step back in history. Many local photos from the past on walls,a lot of history - definitely a talking point. Sawdust on floor added to the ambience. Only had a drink after a walk but the menu looked tasty.

Seven of us visited for a pint and a meal after our 8mile circular walk from Maenclochog to Foel Cwm Caerwyn on a fine autumn day. The cwrw Tafarn sinc was excellent and the meal was every bit as good. Fairly standard pub fare. Some of us had the plaice others the lamb burgers, and all were complimentary regarding the... More

If your after really nice homely type dishes in a really welcoming/ relaxed environment then this is the place. Dont expect fine dining but do expect the best home meals such as faggots, cooked ham and gammon. So relaxing drinking a pint of cwrw tafarn sinc (own brew) by the fire - you dont want to leave.

we were here for a steak supper as we had heard the steaks were good here and we weren't dissapointed. Lovely steaks, tasty, tender and nicely cooked. I was pleased that there was a 6 ounce option, just right for me, my husband had the 10 ounce. My husband had the sauté potatoes and they were very tasty, I had... More

Have visited on 4 occasions now. Quirky pub, very interesting, and even more so when you realise that a railway station was just close by. Shame on you mr.beeching!
