Nice little pub with well kept beer and traditional pub feel has not gone gastro modern! However the pie I had was a top not home cooked slice of juicy beef and red wine. Served with loads of veg and potatoes. Was offered absolutely anything as accompaniments. Fab publican and service was great. Would come again, might bring girlfriend!

Six of us decided to go the the Cock Inn at Boughton Monchelsea. I bought a lemonade with lime, and a southern comfort and a mixer bottle of ginger ale. I often go to restaurants but I was amazed that the cost of those drinks was £10. Most had starters which were nice and the Sunday lunch was very good.... More

Booked and Popped in for dinner this week, great menu, good mix of traditional and alternative menus. Good specials board selection. Well worth a visit- 4 adults, not shy on the drinks - £42/head mix of 2 and 3 courses each. Liver and Bacon was outstanding, along with the roasted duck breast.

Popped into the Cock Inn , bar staff and waitress really pleasant and welcoming, however starter of white bait was not crispy and lacked in flavour, " homemade burger" wasn't as flavoursome as other "homemade burgers" I have eaten, dessert was average, would I go back? No.

Really enjoyed it here. Have actually been back lots of times now and it's always lovely. A good old (Very old) English Pub, with loads of really great food & excellent Beer. Bar usually has all the Shep Neame Beers plus often some really good guest Ales. Tip: The Blackboard Menu is packed with ideas, so take a pic on... More

Found this by chance whilst driving past. Attractive pub from the outside, cosy and full of character inside. We were greeted by friendly staff, good choice of drinks and wine. We chose to eat in the restaurant which had good menu choice cooked by established chef. Food was well presented, plentiful and delicious. Great choice too for vegetarians. Service was... More

I first started to visit this pub in 1962. Took some Yorkshire friends to lunch last week. The welcome was warm and the food excellent. Had the Sunday roast....cooked perfectly.

Ok, is how I would describe this place after a few visits. We feel it's over-priced for what it offers (8.95 for an average and not very warm jacket potato seems excessive), service so-so (the land lady was quite attentive but the waitress was bordering on hostile for no reason), especially for the prices they charge. It has got character... More
