We tried to visit this restaurant at 21.45 on. Friday. Table for 4 refused rudely. People were still eating so no excuse and certainly not in the way we were dismissed. Used to be our favourite Maldon Indian we will not bother again

Where do I start with this place? Delusions of grandeur from the restaurateur? The lies told about what's in certain dishes? The utterly average food? The high prices? The pictures of local MPs and councillors on the wall posing with the owner..? Yeah, classy. You...More

Warm welcome, great food in a very professional environment. The menu was varied with some different choices. Our vegetable sides were very fresh. The whole evening was very enjoyable and comes highly recommended.

We ate here arriving at 6pm. It wasn’t a particularly warm welcome. We didn’t have a booking but we were seated at a table to two next to another couple. The restaurant was empty at this point but started to fill up very quickly after...More

The food is great but what makes the difference here is that they employ Indian women as waitresses. You don't see it in many curry houses and I think it makes a huge improvement on the levels of service and happiness. We had a bloomin'...More

Description
Welcome to The Award Winning Maldon Tandoori Our restaurant was established by my brother and myself in 1987 following the vision of our father who had a passion for cooking. The main cuisine is Indian/ Bangladeshi. Being from Bangladesh we have great expertise in traditional home-made food and regularly promote Bangladesh nights bringing the authentic foods to our customers. We serve dishes made to customer's specific requirements, including anything from mild chicken Korma to hot and spicy chicken Naga. Our most popular dishes are Tandoori chicken Bhuna Balti and Tandoori King Prawn Jalfrezy Balti. We only use the finest king prawns from Bangladesh which are noted for their freshness and size. Many of our ingredients are sourced locally, although some specialist ingredients come from our suppliers in East London. We have many customers as friends at Maldon Tandoori and hope to make many more. We hope to see you soon.
