We had a lovely dinner here to celebrate our daughter's 8th birthday and were so impressed with the quality and creativity of the food we had. A beautiful spot right by the river, fantastic service, and delicious food. So satisfying, and would definitely go back...More

Another great local business in Wakefield. Exceptional food and service. Great atmosphere for a night out without kids.

Be prepared for a long, long wait, and an astoundingly meagre supply of the food you thought you could curb an appetite with. Come here for the taste, and fill up elsewhere (unless you want to order twice over). They do have the good sense...More

Hi Gary, Sorry to hear you didn't enjoy your experience. You must have joined us on July 3rd which was the craziest day for everyone in Wakefield. Every restaurant ran out of food and wait times were longer than expected and I apologize for that....More

I stopped by here on a rainy evening for dinner on the way to set up camp at Lac Philippe, and was immediately glad that I did. This rustic restaurant with about 20 seats with an open kitchen serves small plates a la tapas. I...More

The food here is exceptional. I have never eaten a meal here and been disappointed, everything is always delicious. I can't recommend this place enough. If it was closer to Ottawa I would visit even more often. The staff is great, they are very friendly...More

Had the lobster bisque as an entrée, and braised beef as a main course. Husband had the pan-seared trout. All three were excellent, but the lobster bisque was particularly good, with well-balanced flavours, a rich broth, and a perfectly cooked piece of lobster. Atmosphere is...More

Started with the lamb poutine. Yummy and rich. Main course was the short rib... surprise no bone.... and it was so tender you won't need your knife to cut it. Service is warm and personable

The food is always delicious here. The set menu was well thought out and well executed. The small plates Sunday is also delicious.

Very special place, The pickerel was the best! Small plates but excellent food and service. It was interesting to see your food being prepared from our table.

Give them a call - I think not - Sunday is small plates day - if you haven't had the experience, try it - highly recommended - just call it a late brunch!!

Description
Rustic charm in the heart of Wakefield Village. We are a small 26 seat restaurant, with an outdoor patio that seats another 20. Our restaurant serves upscale comfort food, great wines and local brews. All while dining with views of the Gatineau River and hills.
