4 tables cafe and art gallery is not just a place to eat or check out some amazing art but it is a place to introspect over some amazing food and conversations. Frank, Aloke, Loki and Suman are not only the most amazing hosts they...are like the gurus of cafe experience. They have perfected it. We stayed at the 4 Rooms which is the home stay establishment and came to the cafe for meals everyday of our stay. When we booked our stay we didn’t know that this would be the most enlightening experience. Thanks for all the love and food you guys showered on us with the sprinkle of mountain magic. Lots of love Soni Gaurav and Riya.More

When it came to satisfying our hunger pangs, The 4Tables Cafe left no stone unturned in treating us right. From a wholesome and delicious mushroom pasta garnished with homegrown spices and veggies, fresh out of Frank’s very own garden and breakfast spreads which still occupy...a special place in my dreams, one cannot miss devouring the scrumptious food, made with tons of love, at the 4Tables Cafe. If a monarch were to visit the cafe, the service that he/she would receive would make him/her want to do things a little differently back in his/her own palace! Because, that is how brilliant the service is and Frank plays the perfect host! The cafe is a canvas in its own right with abstract art occupying much of the space on the walls. A beautiful tandoor carved into a stone sits pretty at the entrance where Frank will greet and welcome you into his little haven up in the hills. From the bamboo shaded lights to the countless posters of legendary musicians, the space is designed to allow you to take in the essence of art, at its ethnic best.More

The food here is simply splendid. The bread is home made and fresh and crisp. we had the pasta too, which was absolutely perfect in every sense The cafe itself is a small, off the road beauty with an amazing view and features its very...own art gallery! Would definitely recommend it for a lazy, idyllic start to the day!More

Great food and especially the morning breakfast. So lavish and delicious. Sometimes it surprises me, how they can serve such great food in middle of no where. Great going frank and his lovely son. God bless.

In Bir and wanna enjoy your coffee or some soup with amazing view, while giving a treat to your taste buds - head to The 4 Tables Cafe! aka - The 4 Tables Project Amazing food with great quantity! You will also get a chance...to meet a smart kid, Alok. He would help you to show around the art gallery (a small in-house art display) Don't you narrow down your mind when I mentioned "Art Gallery" The owner Francis has taken time to put up different form of art - you will find photographs clicked by some amazing photographers, canvas painting done by some infamous but righteous artists, objects made from scrap by some great minds, etc. . . . . . #guneharvillage #the4tablesproject Follow @mugiwara0593 on instaMore

I had heard about this place and even after visiting Bir and Kangra Valley several times, I finally got an opportunity to eat at 4Tables when we were staying at the 4Rooms. We loved the breakfast which was laid out beautifully and was really yummy...and healthy ! The food is good..though I missed the famous pizzas which are available only when the restaurant officially opens for the season. I wish Frank would indulge the guests staying at the 4Rooms with his special Pizza even if they visit before the start of the season...we are going back soon for that )More

Thank you, Meenal. Sorry about the pizzas, it is just not viable to burn tons of wood for 1-2 pizzas. But see, thats how we get you back here! :) :) Pizza's are every Saturday, evenings. Put that in your calendar. Also, glad to see...More

The 4 Tables Cafe is in Gunher, a beautiful and vibrant village in Kangra Valley, Bir, Himachal Pradesh. A paradise for Paraglider's and spiritual seekers. I had visited this amazing place solo in 2014 and then visited again with my wife and son in Jan...2017. The place is run by a beautiful family. And the head of the family is Frank. Filled with warmth, wit and taste, you will definitely get lost in conversations and will not be able to stop eating his handcrafted clay oven pizza. A master-chef in the hills. Food is something you don't have to worry about when you have Frank around. Frank is also an Art lover and curates one of the most amazing art festival where the entire village turns into an immersive space with art and music. It's called SHOP-ART-SHOP. Do look for more details on their webpage. And trust me his son Aloke is the best guide you will find to go down the river and explore the village. Only if you can keep up with him. The room(s) at 4 Tables is like a womb, warm, cozy and designed with love. Simplicity at it's best. A perfect place for family, lovers, backpackers, friends.... And then you have the entire Himachal to explore.More
