Tired after morning hike, we stopped at the store of La Bottega for a bottle of wine and bread and cheese. We came back for dinner few hours later. Excellent selection of wines at all prices, the host understands his wine and was very helpful. Food was excellent and service was attentive and unobtrusive.

We had our first dinner in Palazzuolo at this place and really enjoyed Pasta and Panzanella. The white house wine was good as well. Highly recommended.

The place reckons to be something of an enoteca - but the owner is not at all friendly and the prices are ridiculously high. Food is pretentious and really very average. He has a sign outside advertising 'pane toscano' but the bread he sells is yesterday's stale leftovers from the baker round the corner!

We stopped for a lunchtime snack and had a really tasty and chunky ham sandwich. Their 'Beltaine' chestnut and herb beer was very special!
