Warm welcome, delicious food, excellent service. Great value. Venison was lovely, great selection on menu and specials. Busy at lunchtime which is always a good indicator.

Found it by chance, as we were driving by. Service was a bit slow but well worth the wait. Food is excellent and well prepared. Pasta was amazing and meat well cooked and served. Fresh mushrooms as a side dish were unique. We also enjoyed...the homemade desserts. Well recommend and worth the drive for a great meal!More
If you want to experience a perfect northern tuscan meal go eat here. Mr Bonini and his team offer a warm welcome: superb Local ingredients; great wine list (from house wine to an interesting selection from tuscany and beyond). I ate a superb octopus with...pickled vegetables; a great pasta with tartufo and the best beefsteak Fiorentina for many a year!More
An excellent dinner all around in a nice old stone building. The trout carpaccio was totally excellent, as was a crostatina dessert, very good house wine
End of holiday meal out for 12 , when we had cooked at our villa for ourselves the rest of the week. Everything about it was a let down after a great week , food wine , service and value for money. Would not recommend
My family and I were staying in a villa nearby on holiday. You’d think - or rather, I thought - that in a place like Tuscany, great restaurants would be all over the place. But I didn’t really find that to be the case. In...Italy the dining experience itself can often be enjoyable and there are some places in this locality that have marvellous views. But in some places the food itself can be a little average. That was not the case here. In fact, other than one visit to a very famous Venetian restaurant a couple of decades ago, I think this is the nicest restaurant I’ve ever found in Italy. But it’s not that easy to find. Without Google maps we certainly wouldn’t have done but it’s well worth it. It’s some way up a hill but has plenty of parking. As others have said, the staff are very friendly here and the cooking is magnificent. One certainly gets the feeling that, unlike some well advertised places nearby, it’s not just about tourists and that the locals love it here too. We chatted to a very friendly local couple and they confirmed that this was the case. I can’t recommend Trattoria Bonini highly enough.More
Excellent service and kind waiters and waitresses. The food is really nice and yummy! We started with the mixed antipasti and enjoyed local specialities - tripe was a bit of a surprise but the hams and cheeses were exquisite and the soured vegetables were an...excellent contrast. The crostini were delicious. Main courses were pappardelle with wild boar, maccheroni with beef and osso-buco. All done to perfection. Our 12 year old found the wild boar a little challenging but was delighted with the beef maccheroni. We all had the wonderful ricotta mousse desert. Simply delightful. We would definitely come back again. The family next to us had a very young child and they were made to feel welcome. There were also tables of older people and romantic couples - seems like a place that works for every occasion.More
This place is outstanding.. the most cosy location and nice staff.. the food is amazing.. I can only say Grazie .
This is a very small restaurant with excellent food and service. We were extremely satisfied with everything we had and the service. Only four tables but wonderful food, magnificent service, and very reasonable prices. A leader of house wine was only seven euros and the...meals were also very reasonably price. We had lamb chops and trout. We had an appetizer of salmon sashimi and asparagus with a cheese mousse. Everything was prepared and seasoned wonderfully and the people could not be more friendly. I would highly recommend this to be on your list if you’re in the area. The small size indicates reservation to avoid disappointment.More
The food here was great! It is only a small place but that only adds to its charm. The waitress was very welcoming and everyone seemed very friendly and relaxed. It felt like we had experienced a proper Tuscan lunch surrounded by locals and a...great atmosphere.More
