This restaurant has a new name "Inbox" and it's located around the corner at the warehouse of the local shipping company. Just follow the signs. They serve VERY LARGE portions and the food was very authentic and good. It was a nice break from the traditional food served elsewhere. The owners and staff are very friendly and accommodating.

Nice little resturant. The Chef speaks excellent English and williingly will come out and explain the various dishes. From smoked trout, salmon, haddock, etc. They also have some local beers on tap. Enjoy.

To be honest, the variety of food in Southern Greenland is monotonous at best. The quality varies wildly. This Thai restaurant serves standard fare Thai food. It won't win awards internationally, but it's such a welcome change that even sub par Thai food would be fine. But it's not sub par. It's good. Service is good. There are many selections.... More

This little odd restaurant at the town square of Qaqortoq looks very cosy and welcoming at first. We were seated by the owner who come from Thailand, and for some reason think that thai food mixed with greenlandic, will survive in Greenland. I was curious, didn't believe it could be done satisfactory and therefore had to give it a chance.... More

We arrived on the Seabourn Quest for a day in port. Saw the sights then found this restaurant at 11:00AM. Lunch not ready yet so had fruit torts, chocolate cakes and coffee. What a pleasant surprise. We sat at an outside table and people watched. A fisherman off an Icelandic trawler invited us to see his ship and how the... More

One of two restaurants in centre of town in Qaqortoq. Quite good food but lacks spice. Quirky waiter/owner provides interesting cabaret if you order Greenlandic coffee!

Taking into consideration the small amount of eating places in town, this restaurant is good and nicely waited. It is Thai with a hint of Greenlandic.

What a surprise to find such a lovely Thai family restaurant right at the square in Qaqortoq. Charles Lindberg and Knut Rasmussen had their hot drinks here once and now a lovely family serves you the most special Greenlandic coffee, Thai style. An absolute must to see and taste. Their reindeer salad is something to try as well. Only disappointing... More

What an unexpected treasure in such an isolated place. An incredible new (2009) Restaurant Ban Thai in Qaqortoq, Greenland. It is absolutely adorable with fantastic Thai decorations. The Tom Yum soup was as good as we have ever had and the Thai style reindeer was fantastic. One of the most diverse Thai menus anywhere, except no Pad Thai, but they... More
