Absolutely disgusted with the food served here! gravy was like water, the chips were undercooked and were covered in grease and fish was plain with horrible crispy batter. Feel sick after this experience certainly wouldn't come back here ever. would rather go the chippy down the road!

Nicely done, decent menu. Great tasting food. Small portions. But so expensive. A glass and a can of Coke for £1.50.

What HAS happened to the chippy at Lady Heyes -Heyes plaice? Not so long ago the chips were nice and the fish freshly fried with crispy crunchy batter. Now...chips seem like they've been cooked for ages and re heated...but worse, the fish is awful...thin (not sure it's cod) with leathery soggy batter. It was like a frozen battered fish you'd... We visited Lady Heyes earlier this week and started our day with an excellent bacon and cheese toastie and a cup of coffee at the cafe, which is now under new management and is now renamed The Tea Cosy Cafe. The service was wonderful, we were given a warm welcome from cheery staff and sat at a table with beautiful... More

Sadly not a great place so I could see why, even though there were a lot of people about, the place was practically empty. So much potential for the right person. One to avoid.

The two ladies serving were abrupt and rude, the food was cold and tasteless. The young man clearing the table was the only cheerful person there.

Tried the new Fish and Chip shop at Jenkinson's at Lady Heyes Craft & Antique Centre today having heard good things!! They have only opened the new fish & chip shop very recently and a couple of people had recommended it. Well - they were absolutely right!! Gorgeous chips with a lovely crisp and fresh fish cooked whilst we waited.... More

On the day of our visit, the service was very slow for over-priced meals, of a standard no better than the average transport cafe.

Lovely views across the hills, and sat outside with our dog and watched the world go by, would definitely go there again.
