Business lunch again at Casa Escartin did not disappoint. Fantastic service and very authentic menu with many local favorites on the menu. My business partner takes me here often and I am never disappointed. Try the paella for sure along with a selection of tapas.

We've been to Casa Escartin for lunch and it was lovely. The place was characteristically decorated and spacious. We had the touristic menu for 15 euros and there was enough to eat for a legion! Every single dish, from the appetizer to the dessert was very tasty, loads of lovely jamon, loads of arroz (saffron rice with meat and vegetables),... More

The food was excellent, and the appetizer to main course style fit well. We had bread to start off, which was searched with olives, chorizo, and butter. We followed it with a pork stuffing of sorts witch went well with the over easy egg that ocympanied it, and garlic shrimp. The cod with lemon sauce and pollo guisado, a tomato/chicken... More

Stopped in route from Toledo to Zaragoza based on TripAdvisor reco. A good choice. The Menu Aragones was reasonably priced (13.64 €) with ample portions and good quality arroz (rice) dishes. The fish of the day, Rape(monkfish), was excellent. We were early so we had great service, including a visit from Chef Angel. English skills were limited but the menu... More

The waitress spoke no English but could not have gone more out of way to try and help us. The food we ended up with was good be it a little expensive. From the newspaper articles etc at the door the restaurant appears to have won a lot of local awards. Recommended to us by our hotel

The best quality in Calatayud, very likely. However, for the average of prices in the area ,really expensive. But it is worth for the quality and quantity and service.

Expensive. OK food. OK service. No desire to go back. Supposedly the paella is good. But none available when we went.

My boyfriend and have just returned from ten days in Spain; we spent one night in the little town of Calatayud. The town itself is beautiful, but the high point was definitely dinner at Casa Escartin. He had the lamb, which he says was the best he's ever had. I had chicken that simply fell off the bone. Yum!
