Jam Rock was suggested as a great spot after hitting the beach at Reggae Beach. It is at the end of the beach around the corner from a strip of restaurants that includes Cathy's (a great super casual local spot) and others like Shiggidy Shack. The open air venue is great as long as the weather accommodates and the bugs... More

Jam Rock serves lunch and dinner. The dinner side of the restaurant is nice with a view of the golf course. As an appetizer we had the conch fritters which good, but not much conch. The fritters were served with an Asian sauce that did not really go with them. We had the lobster for dinner. It was perfectly prepared,... More

Went to jam rock tonight and were quickly were seated . Started with conch fritters which were hot and tasty . The Asian sauce with them while good was not a great pair with the fritters . The lobster was a tail which was perfectly prepared and did not need sauce . It was served with good basic rice and... More

This is at the end of the strip but there is no view. You feel like you are at a dead end with nothing around but a road and a few bushes. The food was average but for that it was overpriced. the service was good but the place lacking atmosphere.

Walking around the pond looking for birds around Timothy Beach area we ran into Jam Rock for a bite for lunch. Best drinks on island. In fact some of best drinks we have had anywhere. The Jerk chicken was explosive but tasty. Not for the timid. If you like milder foods the ribs were exceptional. Moist, tasty with Jerk seasoning but... More

For us this was a new dining ex It is more up market than the restaurants on the "Strip". The food was good and although a tad more expensive that the "strip" - I would definitely recommend eating here.

Walking home from a picture taking excursion on Timothy Beach we decided to walk back to the Marriott from the other direction completing a circle. We came across JamRock completely by accident and decided since it was noon we could bring back food to our room. We were the first customers of the day and while we waited we figured... More

Food was delicious. Since it is advertised as on the strip we did not dress up. We were in shorts and t-shirts. It does say Jam Rocks Sports Bar. The hostess frowned and said we could eat but would have to be seated on the other side of the restaurant. Not a problem for us. Just wish we would have... More

Jam Rock has relocated to Frigate Bay and that is a plus for everyone. In it's brand new setting it is much more opulent, if that is a word that applies to an outdoor restaurant near a beach. The chef and owner is an accomplished cook, who for many years cooked in Jamaica. The party that I was with ordered... More

Though no longer located at South Friars, the new location on "the strip" at Frigate Bay is much more convenient for Marriott guests. Lovely outdoor dining, well appointed, excellent servers. My husband is still raving about his grouper...the best we've had anywhere. I had the Jerk Chicken which was excellent and can be ordered in a 'mild' version...or spicier for... More
