The only pub/food outlet on an island has a captive audience. The competition is packed lunch brought from home for day trippers or food bought at the nearby general store. Food was served quickly and was hot and ok. Service was ok. A cheap spicy...More

Love Lundy and the tavern has a great friendly welcome, nice place to spend a couple of hours kicking back.... staff are very friendly... unfortunately the food is a shocker, we eat there every night as we didn't want to cook and enjoy the tavern...More

We were on a day trip to Lundy, with around 250 other people on the island. Husband had ham baguette; I had lamb pasty. Both were served amazingly quickly, despite the large numbers of people expecting food today. Baguette was excellent, served with salad. Pasty...More

My partner and I recently went to Lundy island, as it had been a place I wanted to visit for some time. After exploring this beautiful island, which we will be visiting again, we decided to stop for some food in the tavern- we had...More

The tavern is the hub of lundy. The place to come to shelter from the wind and rain and to cosy up. Open all day and they are quite happy for you to sit for hours nursing a cuppa or a pint but don't use...More

It was my second visit to Lundy... Other than incredible wildlife life and peace Lundy offers one and only pub Marisco... It's good chance to socialise and enjoy food. Marisco Tavern ticked all the boxes. However, this time our experiences were bit disappointing. Bar was...More

The island of Lundy and the accommodation is brilliant, unfortunately the same could not be said for the tavern. We arrived on the Saturday and food seemed fine that day, but from about Tuesday it went down hill considerably! 1. We ordered children's sausage, mash...More

We visited the Marisco as part of a day trip to Lundy and I would echo what some other reviewers have felt, that day trippers are not quite as welcome as staying guests. The inn is lovely, a good selection of beers and cider and...More

The range of food on the menu was somewhat limited, especially for anyone needing a gluten free option. Food was wholesome and tasty but not 'out of the ordinary'. It must be hard catering for a sudden influx when the boat comes in, especially as...More

Maybe my expectations were too high... it can't be easy to serve great quality food when ingredients are largely shipped over from the mainland. I just felt the Marisco didn't quite get it right, and the staff all looked a bit fed up :-/ That...More

Yes they do. Reasonable quality and price but range a bit limited. However there is also a small shop which sells the basic food items.

Best breakfast on Lundy, unless you cook your own. Normal service times are 08.30 until 10.00.

The Marisco Tavern is The Pub on The Island of Lundy. We do everything in singularities here. We have The Church, The Shop, The Road, The Farm...Being the only pub we take our monopoly position seriously and so have a positive outlook regarding ensuring that we don't abuse our position. We want you to come back to Lundy, not just the pub, and so we do our best to keep quality high and prices low.We serve breakfast, lunch and dinner, 7 days a week (timings vary seasonally) and most of our meat comes from the Island - lamb that comes ready-seasoned by the sea air is our speciality.Just one little note though - if coming across on a day visit by boat, please don't expect a full-blown dinner menu at lunchtime: we'll probably have about 400 hundred other people looking for lunch at 1 pm.
