Was drawn in by the tempting soups listed on the blackboard in the doorway and wasn't disappointed. Delicious lunch, friendly service and a great place to sit, admire the artwork inside and the architecture outside. Also spotted a picture I now want for Christmas so it was win-win for me!

Fab cafe, called in for lunch last week and both myself and my wife had one each of the homemade soups. Both were DELICIOUS all soups were listed as gluten free and GF bread available for the sandwiches too which as a coeliac myself i find great. They even have GF desserts which were also amazing. Will definitely be returning... More

When visiting Salts Mill, its worth wandering up the village main street to take in the atmosphere. On a corner almost opposite the Town Hall you'll find Massarella's. Varied menu including a great range of freshly made hot and cold sandwiches. Don't miss the lovely cakes and gateaux, baked on the premises. Charming service in an art filled environment.

Visited Massarella's today for lunch with my mum. We've been previously and have always enjoyed our visits. We were seated straight away and struggled to choose as everything sounded so good. There was a choice of two homemade soups. We chose the mushroom, sherry and cream soup and we were certainly not disappointed. It was piping hot (I'm really funny... More

Great place for a delicious light lunch. The soups are really wonderful and the service is prompt and very friendly. Only slight downside for us on this visit was that the two best tables were reserved, but totally empty throughout our time there.

Stopped here for a panini and weren't massively impressed. Staff were a bit drippy and food was ok but not great. Ordered an apple juice and after about 10 mins saw one of the waitresses wander out and come back with a carton of the cheapest apple juice under her arm from the next door corner shop. Was then served... More

We have called in Massarella's several times over the last few years. It's a relaxing place to eat with delicious home made food. We particularly enjoy the home made soups and have no reason now not to get busy in the kitchen ourselves as we were very kindly given the soup recipes. This will not stop us visiting again though...
