There were about 18 of us for Sunday lunch - celebrating nothing much, except that we hadn't got together for a while. We were all extremely well suited with our choice of meal - starter, main and sweet, ordered beforehand because we were a large party. More than half of us are vegetarians but the menu was adapted accordingly. What... More

I have visited this pub on a few different occasions the most recent one being boxing day. The place was packed - which speaks for itself! I have always found the bar and waiting staff to be polite and friendly. Dogs are made welcome and they provide games for children to play with. The dining room was full, so we... More

Having waited a while to get served, food and drinks were ordered. Real ale very nice as were the coffees. Quite a while later the meals arrived. Two people in our group had wedge-type chips with their meal and the other two had fries. The fries were absolutely fine, but the chunkier chips were foul. Possibly cooked in stale fat.... More

We visited whilst out with our dog. Lovely little place on the Moore which attracts a lot of walkers. We were really happy with the food it was lovely, however the only downside was that the pub was freezing and the service was really slow. It was clearly busy but it just got busier and busier and no more staff... More

We visited this establishment recently and its safe to say we will never go back. The building itself, showed the promise of great service and good food. However our expectations were quashed, upon meeting the obnoxious landlady. I cant remember anytime that I have had such poor service and sub-standard food. There are many good places to eat these days... More

We take all reviews seriously at The Old Glen House and strive to learn and improve from good and bad comments but to be faced with one that is so inaccurate is something I have to respond too. The "land lady" which you talk about has not worked front of house for over a 2 years since have major spinal... More

Have visited this place twice in the last fortnight and have to say both visits were an absolute pleasure. The latest one was Saturday. We changed the booking from 4 to 7 at pretty much the last minute ...not a problem...We changed the booking from 7 to 8 as we were sitting down...incredibly again No problem. The menu is not... We called in for a drink one evening. We have never known such rude staff. Everything was just too much trouble. The place was quiet, which wasn't surprising as the hostility was enough to drive anyone away. This is surprising as on a previous visit the staff, possibly the owner, served us personally. Possibly a case of 'whilst the cat's... More

We decided to try The Old Glen House on Tuesday evening to sample the steak night. There were four of us and we arrived around 7.30 and hadn't booked and luckily there were some spare tables. The young girl who served us was very friendly and let us choose our table. It was £25.00 a couple, for either an 8oz... More
