At the Rum Cave you can choose to eat inside in air conditioned surroundings or outdoors with a spectacular view of the harbor. As the sun sets, the yachts light up. Food is prepared from the same kitchen as the Grill, menu is different. You cannot go wrong here.

Andre, great barman!

Had a couple of cocktails at the bar most nights of our trip (we were not hotel residents). Not only did Andre make great cocktails -non alcoholic for my driving other half, but gave us some very useful local knowledge too. Thanks André ... how about that!!! 😉

Rum tasting and appetizers

Wifey and I partook in the run tasting to experience and appreciate the various types of rum offered on the island. This was not a disappointment. Andre was very knowledgeable and Chenell was very attentive. Food selections were great. This experience led me to purchase three bottles of rum to take back to Texas - 1782, 1931, and Spiced.

Lovely Restaurant / Hateful Security Staff

The landlord of the villa we rented suggested we try dinner at Rum Cave at the Margiot waterfront. The guard at the entrance was not at all welcoming, and treated me harshly. Only after I got the restaurant on the phone did he reluctantly allow entrance. The restaurant we lovely, the service flawless and the food some of the best on the island. It was a sublime meal! I had hoped to come back this weekend and treat my fellow travelers to a fine dinner. But on the way out, the guard was even more abrasive and subjected me to ridiculous questioning and harassment. Life is too short for such hassles.

Amazing! Andre was super nice and knowledgeable. The hors d oeuvres were to die for and the rum was of high quality.I would do it again in a heartbeat if I could.

I was unable to get into the rum cave because we were not staying in the resort or a villa that made an agreement with the resort for access. This is a little confusing on Trip Advisor.

We did the rum tasting and dinner. The rum tasting was very informative and lots of fun The food was excellent one of the best grilled snappers I have ever had.

Fantastic Casual Meal

We had two of our best meals at the Rum Cave - we sat at the bar and enjoyed salads and drinks. The bartenders made tasty drinks and provided friendly service.

Beautiful Marigot Bay views

Great cocktails!

We stopped here for a few drinks one evening and it did not disappoint. I ordered a “bartender’s special,” whatever he felt like making and it was a delicious mango drink! We also had a few other drinks, all of which we enjoyed.

Fun dinner with elegant views!

We returned three nights to this outdoor or indoor space due to it's beautiful location above the harbor and boats and it's welcoming staff. Our grandchildren found choices on the children's menu, and we had fish or pasta or chicken which was beautifully presented and delicious. At the Marigot Bay Resort, this is the moderate priced restaurant. Dillon took especially good care of us, but every person on that staff is friendly and competent. As Americans, we are accustomed to quick service, but the preparation all over St. Lucia is what we call "island time," so we often asked the waiters to try to bring our food quicker than normal, which they did for us. I have only happy thoughts as I picture the family gathered as the sun set over this charming restaurant and the stars appeared above.

We were staying in the area and had planned to go to the Grill restaurant. We arrived at the Rum Cave and were told it was the only restaurant - not sure if the Grill was closed that day. We did not love the food - part of it had to do with our selection but a lot of the food was fried or had a lot of sauce. It was an average meal, we would not return for a meal. It would be ok to have a couple of bites here and have dinner elsewhere.

Incredible!!

From the time we walked in Taj was there to assist us... This young man made all the questions we had about the dishes seem like nothing. He knows his stuff and was more than willing to help us know too.. We got really comfortable really fast.... The bartenders were amazing.. Mixing some great cocktails!!! Would recommend a visit here to everyone... Bite sized meals that any food lover would enjoy !
