Tiny restaurant on a second floor, but probably the best local food and view in Tapalpa. You sit above the Plaza in front of the church with a great view. They serve only local dishes and they are all fresh and really good. Incredible value. A family of 4 eats with $30 USD.

I came here once, and I have to say this small town restaurant, located in downtown Tapalpa is just EXCELENT. Food is very traditional and simple at the same time but the taste is so great. After the first time time we tried not only dinner but lunch and breakfast as well. The great location, good view (directly to the... More

There is an outside deck which houses most of the seats. There was a wait for dinner, so we sat on a bench at ground... More

We went to Paulino's intent on having tamales and enjoyed every tasty bite. They were baked in a single serving terra cotta dish and smothered in fresh sour cream and melted cheese. To add to the experience, we sat on the first floor patio of a converted hacienda and savoured the view of the main square and cathedral at sunset.... More

Just across the church, but I think it is called Paulinos.... the kale tamales (tamales de acelga) are the best. There are mostly kale with some cheese in the centre... I hope to bring some home for the freezer on the next visit here.
