Our American visitors requested an English pub with great food..... this ticked all the boxes. We received a warm welcome; friendly, efficient service; good food; and a nice atmosphere. The only downside is that it’s not the easiest pub to get to, especially on a...More

Great atmosphere, friendly staff, good beers and wines. The usual main courses were in abundance - steaks, gammon, lamb etc etc. Rib eye steaks were cooked perfectly, and substituting veg/chips/fries etc was no problem. However, the starters were limited, and seemed a different type of...More

Homely atmosphere, friendly service, wide choice of a la carte and daily specials, good choice of beers. This place never lets you down. My T-bone was cooked to perfection and our group of seven left feeling very full and satisfied.

Friendly pub, nice beer selection in a building full of character. The menu is excellent, large portions and good value. Recommend booking as it gets busy, which says it all to be fair.

You could park directly outside the pub, but there are a couple of steps into the pub, and the toilets are not accessible with a wheelchair.

Hi, there is a car park beside the pub. You have to park there and walk down the stairs and turn right and the pub is 1 minutes away on the right.
