The bite of my husbands steak and truffles was so divine we had to return so I could I have my own! This is a lovely authentic small family run restaurant. Our server was quiet, but helpful and spoke excellent English as we have no Italian. We have found that restaurants with multi language menus are to be avoided.! They... More

Very nice service, really good dinner and we enjoyed 3-disches - all fantastic good! The afternoon in the old town offers nice areas, calm environment and mixed visitors from all over the world and of course italiens from Roma who enjoys the quietness and high nice air!

The focus of the restaurant is on the new with noen of the traditional Tuscan favorites. That is not a bad thing if you get it right, but. There are 3 themed menus: Truffles, mushrooms, and fish. Each menu has a selection of items that are designed to go together. Finding a restaurant that does fish is outside the bell... More

It is not often that you have one of the best meals of your life! We started with homemade pici with wild boar, not typical but with generous amounts of not ground boar. I had the tagliolini with fresh white truffles that was incredible! The scent is unforgettable! we had never had fresh truffles so my husband had filet of... More

This was the worst and most expensive meal during our trip in Tuscany and Italy. The waitress that greeted us was cold, did not smile. There was no English menu and we don't understand the meaning of Italiano, so we told the waitress to give us some advice, and we told her that we drive to this place so we... More

Strongly recommended restaurant in the Val d' Orcia area. We loved all dishes with truffles (in particular the 'pici'), the cheeses and the beef carpaccio.

This was probably the place where we had the best food during our trip to Tuscany. Both the starters, the first course and the dessert were really good. We had a starter with three choices (all excellent), the fiocchi di neve with mushrooms (also very good!) and an excellent dessert. The waitress was kind, but very timid, not sure it's... More

Really lovely meal at Ristorante da Ciacco and lovely experience overall. We ordered one course plus insalata mista (the best so far in our travels in Italy, lettuce, witlof, chicory, tomato). But with this was a welcome glass of Spumante, a pre dinner appetizer and a fantastic bread selection. The one course we both ordered was pasta carbonara with truffles... More

Although i cannot attest to the quality of the dining experience, as we did not end up eating there, the greeting we received was enough for us to go somewhere else where we were greeted with a warm smile. The waitress that greeted us was cold, did not smile, kept us waiting for 15 minutes, to come back and tell... More
