Recently I went to Chopstyx and my friend has a chocolate allergy. Restaurants in Aizawl have a habit of adding flakes of chocolate in cold coffee so she asked if they added chocolate flakes on their cold coffee just to make sure but the waitress...laughed in a condescending tone telling her that it’s cold coffee and not a chocolate drink. My friend would have never asked that if they didn’t have a tendency to do that. I just think it’s incredibly rude of the waitress to be talking down to a customer like that. Would not be visiting it again. Food was mediocre.More

The worst place I have ever been. They are so racists and when you you order something that will take time is depend on is what your race or what you look.

Affordable and scrumptious food, prompt service and fine ambience. Best Tibetan eatery in the city. No wonder it is always packed! Keep it up!

The restaurant ambience were good but the waitress/waiter doesn’t have a smiling faces and they don’t even welcome us when we enter the restaurant. We have to search for our own seats..After we got our seats we were asked to shift to another one when...they don’t show us the seats themselves..I feel so embarrassed. Their staffs looks like they are fed up of their works and getting frustrated by their customers.More

This is my second reviews. I assigned 4 stars at my first. Now, I want to give the lowest possible. The ways waitresses treat their customers raise eyebrows. I travel breadth and the length of this country, more than a dozen countries and never treated...so cheap with cold shoulder. Reviews in this site may not affect your stature now but your mediocre cuisines with over priced tag may be more acceptable with well cultured behaviour of staff dealing with them.More

Friendly and inviting atmosphere full of young peoples. The location is good at the middle of Aizawl City may need to walk down at 100 odds steps from main shopping street.

Yes, you can sit out-Of-doors here and chew on wonderful strips of beef, or savor incredible Tibetan food! Don’t forget your chopsticks if you’re planning on a Chinese evening!

Tripadvisor, pls start a ZERO rating - I would like to inaugurate it with this restaurant. I just came back from Dinner at Chopstyx on my first trip to Aizawl. I noted the 2nd Best Restaurant in Aizawl on TripAdvisor and went for it. First...Questions - Reviewers what were you thinking ??!!!! How does this make an average of 4/5 rating? Coming to the food - Newsflash Chopstyx Owners - Indian Coriander (Dhaniya) is not to be sprinkled in every dish. We had bland and cold Chicken Momos sprinkled with generous Coriander, Veg Manchurian full of coriander, Chicken Manchow soup submerged in Coriander and not to mention the Chewy Honey Chicken generously garnished with Coriander. My entire stomach churned at the taste of each of these items - most were left untouched by us. We are also served Tomato & Veg Soup disguised as a Veg Hot & Sour. We also had Thai Fried Rice and there was nothing Thai about it. How do you serve this and get away with it? Probably the people who eat there have never eaten Chinese (and Indian Chinese) elsewhere. You are killing their taste buds forever. Coming to service, here is the order of food we got (after a long delay)- Veg Soup, Cold Momos (Returned), Hakka Noodles & Thai Rice, Manchurian, Honey Chicken, Returned Momos when we were about done, and when we were completely done - the Chicken Manchow Soup. The good part was that by then we knew the food was so bad that we did not even bother to go beyond just a taste. The lady taking the order was confused and inspite of feedback at the counter and our visibly leaving most of our food, we were given a FULL bill. We did not bother arguing and left after paying. Now here is the clincher, we walked down to the Store right below the restaurant and picked up couple of packets of chips and biscuits !!! We were hungry inspite of 2 people ordering all that food - clearly we barely ate this non-sense of food. They should put a fee on this museum of bad food - let people come just to experience how bad food can be. My sympathies with people who have to tolerate this restaurant.More

Recently we have visited the place with family after reading good reviews. But, our experience was too bad. They served totally cold food, have no taste at all which includes veg noodles and chilli chicken. The chicken was too hard to bite. When we have...informed the same to the crew members, all kept silent. VERY VERY BAD EXPERIENCE.More

Horrific stairway ascending/descending. Handrails would be a bonus. Reasonable menu offered and service was speedy. Definitely no excessive waiting time. Bright setting - although nearby building work was annoying at times.

Read the review and had to visit this place. What a wonderful experience. Totally worth the time and money. Wonderful ambience. The entry, some would say, is a tad bit disappointing. But once you reach the top and open the door it is a different...experience altogether. I love the fact that they have an outdoor seating from where you can get an amazing view of Aizawl town. I happened to go for dinner and the night lights were mesmerising. Aizawl has a lot of good cafe but dissappointly close very early. So the fact that this joint opens beyond the wee hours(6 pm in this case) is a real delight. The food too was very good and the fact that beef is available made it even more special. Its annoying that the north east being a meat eating region does not serve beef stakes and the likes in most of the restaurants. So for me to have discovered beef in the menu was a delightful surprise. So if you are a meat freak this is the place for you. The service is nice and prompt and the pricing is also reasonable. All in all it was a great experience. I will definitely go back to this place next time I'm in Aizawl. Pros - Ambience, food, service Cons - last order 8.30pm, entrance, no maître d'hôtel to welcome guest at the entranceMore
