Our chef have just recently won the Sussex Chef of the Year award 2018 RUNNER UP for Midsussex Zone. We are opposite Burgesshill Train Station. Banquet every Wednesday and Sunday 5 course meal £11.95. Banquet lunch 12--3.00 pm, evening banquet dinner 5-00 till 11-30 pm. Came to collect a takeaway order - as usual the staff were so friendly, attentive and efficient. The main restaurant was extremely busy and they also had several people in to collect their orders.
Our food was fresh, delicious and non greasy - as usual! Thank you Flavour

Nice fresh tasting food, good service and comfortable restaurant. Went on a Sunday evening and had the buffet menu (£14.95).This is not strictly a buffet as you order a starter, main, side with rice or nan from an extensive list of options. Very pleasant meal, great value and we look forward to eating there again soon.

Enjoyed a delicious lunch today. The food was super fresh. The cook went as far as preparing on the spot a hot sauce not on the menu. The staff was great and extremely friendly. Definitely going back next time I am in town.

Ordered online for delivery and told 40min however website updated to 50mins so I gave it a hour to chase delivery. I was informed that it was sent out for delivery 15mins ago with 4-5 other orders which raised alarms. The guy on the phone explained they had delivery driver shortages which I was understandably sympathetic however when it got to 1hr 15mins I still had not received food. 2nd call and a lot of waiting I was informed that they had tried contacting driver however had no luck. Eventually 1hr 27mins a driver arrived with food ( been on the road for 42mins with order ). Opened the main dishes and it was just under Luke warm. Rice dishes were worse and the aloo was practically cold. Nan breads were soggy. Called shop and explained what the condition was to be told that my number will be forwarded to the manager who was not working today. I tried a small piece of curry and sauce and I was gutted as the flavour seemed to be great. Very unhappy with my whole 1st time experience overall.

We placed an order for two for delivery. We ordered on main, one starter, 2 sides and sundries. Delivery was estimated to be 45 minutes - it took 60.
Once the food arrived the onion bahjis were undercooked, cold and soggy. The mint sauce we ordered (4 portions) was out of date, tangy and fizzy. 1 of the portions was fine the other 3 weren’t.
We contacted the restaurant and explained the sauce was out of date. We were told it’s fine and that they hadn’t had any other complaints. They offered to send out replacements, but didn’t ask for our order number or where to deliver the replacements. As a result, we never received the replacement.
Overall extremely underwhelmed and disappointed. £30 for one main, starter, side and sundries is a lot and for some of it to not be edible is unacceptable.

I ate from Flavour twice during a recent visit to Burgess Hill.
My first experience was a meal at the restaurant. I ordered a paneer kashmir, and found it to be very nice. The sauce was thick and sweet and I enjoyed it. The onion bhaji was very nice - crisp and tasty. The rice and roti were also tasty, and all of the food was hot.
My second experience was a take away. The food wasn't as nice - the breads were overcooked, but the curry was still nice. I ordered samosas and was very disappointed. I was expecting authentic India samosas and got two frozen ones like those you can buy in the supermarket.
I am grateful to those working at the restaurant for cooking food for me to enjoy.

Advertised on the window at £13.95 , we were charged £14.95 each. I believe a buffet is when you go up and help yourself. There was no buffet. We were told to order certain things off a menu. The portions were tiny. I have had much better curries than this. We ordered two glasses of soda and lime which was warm with no ice offered or lemon. Totally shocked to see we were charged £10.60 for those two drinks. How do they get away with this ? We should have known something was wrong as we were the only ones eating in there that lunchtime. At 1 .45 pm they were looking at their watches for us to leave. Avoid like the plague !

Popped in as passing and luckily they had a table free. It was banquet night which included a starter, main, side, rice or naan and a coffee for £11.99.
The choices offered were great and the portion sizes generous. The food was really tasty. Superb value for money.
I can’t give it 5 stars as the service could have been quicker but I do appreciate it was a busy night.
If you’re not in a hurry and fancy a great curry that’s fabulous value for money then give it a go.
I believe they offer this deal on a Wednesday and Sunday. I’ll definitely go back.

Visited on a Wednesday in May 2021 and had the banquet deal - starter, main, side dish, rice / nan bread plus coffee for £11.95. Loads of choice. Really, really tasty. Massive portions. And great service. Had the Chicken Shashlick (a kind of sizzling marinated chicken kebab) and aubergine bhaji and it was completely delicious. We've been driving over from Haywards Heath to get our indian takeaways from Flavour for years and it is consistently the best curry around. Highly recommend.

We thought we would try going out for Xmas day lunch instead of the ‘Normal ‘
We have eaten at Flavour many times over the past years and will always choose them over any other curry restaurant in Burgess Hill.
I had tandoori chicken as a starter and my hubby had the mixed grill. Yes his may have been just 3 pieces of meat (but it is only a starter)!
We pre ordered our menu and it came out in very good time.
I had the dansak chicken tikka and , hubby had the chicken balti and naan.
Considering how extremely busy they were the food was very tasty and the portions perfect.
We had an addition of brussel sprouts and broccoli which was a good laugh and actually went very well with the food!

We had a takeaway this evening it was very disappointing the vegetable curry with the Chicken Tikka Biryani was mainly just source not much evidence of vegetables and half full container, the Onion Bargee was very dry and chewy, we were supposed to get an extra popadom that was also missing. The Sag Aloo was also half full and hardly and Spinach. We previously had used Flavours but tonight was not the best!

Ordered takeout online and found service to be efficient.
Food was hot but could have been any diced form of vegetables, sauce was plentiful.
Bhaji was very greasy and I could only eat half of one.

I ordered take out from them today and ordered the following dishes
Chefs special Bhuna ghost
Bombay Aloo
Tandoori Chicken
Paneer Tikka Masala
Garlic Naan
I was educated in Indian cuisine while being from India and have been eating Indian food for over 35 years little did i know that Bhuna ghost (chicken) is cooked with cheddar cheese and mushrooms, also paneer tikka masala is cooked with tinned tomatoes and coconut milk. also the Vegetable do pyaza is cooked with Brocolli. This has been a sheer enlightening session and I would thank them for educating someone how perfectly proper dishes are made a mess. Please stop using the name of India as you are at best a Bangladeshi restaurant with a cook and not a chef you have no right to degrade fine cuisine and give bad name to good food gutted would keep my distance and wont ever order again

12th December & self isolating with a hungry 10 year old. Advised 40 min delivery, We waited an hour and a half for cold food, poor management response, rude & dismissive. A very unpleasant experience.

When I say Indian style, potentially fusion contemporary food, you say Flavour! Indian style potentially fusion contemporary food!!
We stepped into Flavour - one of the longer standing and successful Indian restaurants in Burgess Hill - and it was almost as of we stepped into a different town, maybe Flavour Town??
Some people might think “oh look at me, I’ll have a naan, korma and some rice” but to these people I say try something different, do something different.
I went off the Chefs recommendations and now I can recommend trying some of the chefs recommendations. The fish at the bottom of the section was good, and the roast chicken was also good.
All I’ll say is ask the staff for some new ideas and enjoy the best Indian in town!
