We loved the traditional Scottish kitchen. The chef has done a great job to serve typical Scottisch dishes and make them look like you were in a three Michelin star restaurant but, still you feel you are invited to a Scottish family to enjoy a...More

My partner and I had dinner here recently. I had a good experience (more like 4/5) but my partner did not (2/5) - so our combined experience was 3/5. We both found the service to be lovely, friendly, helpful. It took a long time for...More

We had a great meal here and were very glad that we'd booked around an hour before we wanted to eat, as they were turning away a lot of people how just wandered in. There was an amazing specials board and the portions were quite...More

We liked the friendly hard working staff, but we're unimpressed by the mediocre food. Our seafood chowder tasted fine but contained overcooked langoustines still in their shell and very difficult to eat. The warm bread was nice and our tea was good. We will not...More

I am sorry to hear about our mediocre food standard as we always strive for excellence. Had you informed us of the difficulty with the langoustines a member of staff would have gladly peeled it for you and masticated them, if they were too tough....More

Pleased to get a good choice on gluten free. Excellent service and an interesting menu. I had the orchard pork and cheeseboard with gluten free oatcakes.

I agree that it probably isn't dog friendly. I've eaten there twice and never seen anyone bring a dog in.

A charming 19th Century Highland Inn, located in the highest village in the Scottish Highlands, at the heart of the Cairngorm National Park and the Malt Whisky Trail. The restaurant prides itself on serving the finest local, seasonal produce presented with elegance. We are a small 50 cover restaurant so booking is essential to avoid disappointment. We look forward to welcoming you for good food, good cheer and a very, very large Dram.
