Beautiful historic restaurant inside and out. The food was good. So was the service. Will go back there.

In case you were at Molsheim on a Monday evening, you do not have many alternatives for dining or taking a drink. This big restaurant just in Place de l'Hotel de la Ville will be able to host and satisfy you with a number of dishes, mainly Alsacienne, and a quick careful service. Good selection of wines and beers. Average... More
Nice location on the market square with a big terrace. The food was basic but good and reasonably priced. Service goes up and down, personnel is friendly but you need to call them several times (e.g. they forgot the bread, it took 2 reminders, another e.g. waiting 15 minutes after we asked the bill...)
La Metzig was open for evening meal when the city center had mostly closed up for the evening and there were not many options as we became quite hungry. It is a quiet and classy place, where couples, friends, and mostly adults lingered and chatted together, yet still casual enough that we were comfortable in casual clothes. I'm not sure... More
The restaurant is located in a vaulted building which I believe was once the guild hall for the butchers of Molsheim. The restaurant has a great atmosphere. Food is traditional Alsace and portions are large. Service is very friendly. I felt prices were very reasonable for the quality on offer.
A beautiful old building. Downfall is the restaurant is quite noisy. The food is good, they server also typical Alsatian food.
Typical Alsatian menu but also classic French food. We felt like the second, so my husband chose a fish - excellent he says and I chose the "magret de canard, sauce au miel, with Spätzle" and really enjoyed it. It was served with fresh and well seasoned vegetables. It was winter, so the terrace was out of the question. The... More
I first came here for lunch in 1992, and again in 1996, then for dinner in 2008, and just recently for dinner. It's not to be missed because of the splendid interior of this mediaeval guild hall with its vaulted stone ceiling. The food is good in a traditional way, though the service can be a little slow. The atmosphere... More
We came to Molsheim for the French Antiques Warehouse (I highly recommend!) adn came to this restaurant. It was adorable--we sat out in the square under umbrellas, although the building it is in is super charming. The food was very fresh and good. We enjoyed our meals and prices were affordable. I would definitely go back.
