Although I'd planned our family vacation to HKG and Macau nearly 6 months ago, I heard about A Lorcha just about a week before departing for HKG. Reading the reviews here and elsewhere, I thought it best too make a reservation. Researching further, I hit a snag - they are closed on Tuesday, the day I'd planned to actually be... More

If you only have one night in Macau like we did, make sure you get dinner here. We ordered the clams, the duck rice, and the Macanese chicken and all of them were fantastic. Mopping up the juices from the clams with our bread was heaven. My friend said he felt like he was transported back to Europe. At the... More

First stop when we arrived to Macau. Had to wait around 15min - didn't call for reservation. The staff behind the bar was a little surly, but everyone else was friendly and helpful. The sangria was excellent - little bits of fruit, wine, soda... We had roast chicken, oxtail stew, clams with garlic! The bread wasn't fresh- but still did... More

Well , i dont usually write bad reviews but here we go! Our reservation was made for 1245 pm a week ago. Admittedly we arrived at 1255, unfortunately since we are from out of town we were unable to call in advance to let them know we were late. We arrived 10 minutes later than the original reservation time. To... More

We had a 9pm reservation but the kids were hungry so we landed at their door a bit before 8pm, asked nicely if there was a possibility of an earlier table. They gave us one at 8ish. We had the clams in garlic and coriander (almost every table was having it! Super yummy), spaghetti bolognese (my kids, verdict was also... More

We were recommended this Portuguese restaurant which serves authentic portugese dishes. We had the clams, pork ribs in a steak style, mixed vegetables and pork knuckles stew. The clams was delicious and we dipped our bread into the soup -yummy! However the pork knuckle stew was too salty, otherwise it would have been nice. The pork ribs were a little... More

There was a queue at 6:30pm of eager diners. Fortunately we had booking in advance. We decided to go with the spicy garlic clams, prawns, mixed fried vegetables and the curried crab. Everything was delightful, the serving of clams was large and delicious. The crab was the highlight of the night, extremely fresh, very balanced with a hint of pineapple... More

It is very near (about 50m) from the entrance forecourt of the Ama Temple. The public bus from Senado Square would pass by A Lorcha & stop a short distance away at Ama Temple. It is well know and serves one of the best Portuguese food in Macau. The building theme is white stucco with rich timber window frames, and... More
