Probably our favorite restaurant after 9 nights in PR! We stayed close by for 3 nights and ended up eating here all 3 nights based on the quality of our first meal and the reasonable cost and large portions. We especially enjoyed the red snapper but can also recommend the flank steak and grilled chicken. Mainly locals eating here so that should tell you this is the place! We had excellent service especially from the young woman behind the bar who helped us get our food to go on 2 nights due to the long wait for a table. We will definitely return if in the area.

Good seafood and other local delicious plates. Mofongo a must!
Fair prices and good service. It is not a fancy place with locals and tourist too.
Try lobster pastelillo. Rice &Beans with your favorite protein.

BEST. PLACE. EVER. (in Combate)
Oh my dear Santos, I wish I lived here just for you and your camarones empanada.
Go if you like:
- good food
- good price
- funny, kind and fast people
- cold beers
- happy place and vibes + music
I am not lying if I am telling you I have been coming to Santos for lunch EVERY DAY (except for their day off and dinner because they were only open for lunch) for my whole stay in Combate during Christmas time and NYE. My family and I looooved it and I am telling you, my parents are not really habitual people. Santos is a true gem, food is great, drinks are super nice (even though I have always been having Pina colada without rum because it was too strong for me, not a huge fan of rum but my parents liked the drinks a lot).
The waitresses and waiters are super nice, patience and fun. The totally make you conformable and they are more than available to suggest what is best for your taste and preferences!
BEST OF THE BEST. SHOUT OUT TO SANTOS!

Had to rated a one because I had to choose one. Servers with an attitude and lousy service. Food was nothing special. Ordered four appetizers and got three. Tried to cancel the fourth one and after asking the waitress twice, had to ask to speak to the manager to get it canceled. Now because of the waitress bad attitude people that got here after us are getting their food before us. These is one of the reasons that our island fails to move ahead. Bad Attitude and bad service!

recommended by some friends we went to the place when ordering fish balls we realized that they frozen fish from the other side of the world which people can get sick, surprised by this since the business is literally facing the sea ....

My brother and sister in-law invited us to their favorite restaurant in Combate, Santos, for lunch. Their meals were gigantic. I order an asopao de pollo (chicken rice soup), but was unable to eat it because it was saltier than the water at the beach. I was only able to eat a piece of the chicken and 2 sips of the soup. I should had asked to take it back, but didn't want my in laws to feel bad after bragging that the food at Santos was great! The tostones (plaintains) that came as side dish were OK, but not the greatest. The service was good and prompt.

Visited with family and friends during a week day and there were still a group of people and the order was served within a reasonable time by a nice and friendly waiter. It is very close to the beach so it is very conveniently located. The Fried Cheese was delicious and serve with an equally delicious Guava Sauce. It was a happy atmosphere with music where you could have a nice time with friends at the beach.

The best food we ate in Combate. A little noisy at nite but the best food for $. The waiting time was 45 min but they were worth it.

Friendly staff who managed to understand my poor Spanish and keep smiling. Got the medium "surtido" (fried assortment of starchy foods) and chef's assortment of empañadillos which were the best turnover-filled meat pies we've had in PR so far. Recommended by El Combate Resort which is a 7 minute walk away. Quiet residential neighborhood one block in from beach. Not touristy.

The service was a little on the low end but quickly noticed it was just our waiter another waitress noticed and picked up the slack right away had appetizers followed by drinks and dinner, food was on point nicely seasoned nothing was burned etc. We had the fried red snapper with plantains or tostones like they're called in spanish and they were definitely not from a frozen bag these were fresh made and not small at all. The price for dinner drinks and appetizers was surprisingly reasonable in fact under $60.

My husband and I just had dinner at this small, local bar and restaurant. You could tell it was a very local crowd, very busy. The food was excellent, definitely try the mafongo, it was the best I've had in Puerto Rico. Prices were very reasonable.
