When I had ordered some drinks, there was an issue with my change. I paid with a 20 pound note, but the staff said I paid with a 10 pound note. So I got change from 10 and not from 20, costing me 10 pound. Will never ever go to that place again.

Not the best advert for Whitchurch. Surroundings not bad but the food and service is more transport cafe than even pub grub. Good carpark.

Dropped having hired a narrow boat from Wrenbury. It was a Saturday night and understandably had a little wait for a table but it was well worth it. Food was great.

We went here for tea last night after staying in malpas for a few days break. What a little gem! Food was a great price, tasted delicious! Chicken burger was out of this world! Husband had steak and kids had kids meals, sat in a fab little snug, whole pub just lovely. Staff were welcoming and so friendly, small shelf... More

It's always a pleasure to visit this well run eatery just on the outskirts of Whitchurch . The boating fraternity love its position just across the road from the Llangollen Canal. Food and drink are delivered with a smile and a chat from the staff. I'm looking forward to my next visit which won't be too long in coming.

I stopped here on a journey home to have a bite to eat after a long drive. The interior looks relaxing, with low light and nice rustic tables, and there was a good choice of ale but I was slightly disappointed with the food. I ordered the rib eye steak at £17.95 and it was so salty, it was all... More

We stopped at this restaurant on the way home from a trip. The welcome was very warm and we were soon seated with a glass of cider and a pint of beer while we waited for our food. there is a tapas style menu which gave the opportunity to pick and choose. the sea bass was delicious and and we... Called to buy a bottle of wine for our friends who were booked to have dinner. The customer service and help over the phone was friendly, patient and cheerful - even thought they were clearly and audibly busy in the background. They even happily wrote a (quite long) note for our friends - fantastic service
