Baker Street can proudly say that everything they serve is absolutely delicious. However staff attitude is entirely different matter. Till 08:30 am the set up was not complete. Two guys in white shirt seemed least interested and we had to force our order on them....Good that their food is good, otherwise they wudnt have been in the market owing to their teamMore

Food was very good in quality and tasty but it has very few choices for pure vegetarians specially eggless deserts.

This place came highly recommended as a French style pastry shop from my friends. I must say I was let down by the interiors , I expected something that gave the French touch , but the place has Japanese Geisha Art copies mostly on the...walls with I think one Hanuman ji calendar .The seating is simple wood . I expected some Parisienne touch , but my fault entirely. Coming to the food ,again they do not serve proper french dishes as it is just a cafe and bakery. But they serve some good sandwiches and croissants . I had a spinach and cheese croissant and my friend had a chicken sandwich with coffee . The croissant was flaky and tasty , the spinach could have been chopped finer. The croissants were flaky and airy , but not the freshest and best that I have had The coffee was just average , they need to work on that. The service was quick and efficient, prices a bit steep for the quality. It is french style only but the ingredients used show up when you take a bite. They do have an occasional pizza on offer too and it looked good. This place is popular with college kids so expect rush at all times, They have lots of lovely tarts , croissants, cakes etc on offer , you may want to come again and again to sample all of them ! All in all , a good place to have some delicious bakes .More

Expatriate, customer for several years and used to take 2 baguettes Céréales +5 croissants, every Saturday. On December 25, 2020, I came in the morning with family for breakfast. After paying my bill, I reminded the same cashier for 2nd time (the 1st time, Saturday...December 19, after paying my 2 baguettes Céréales + Croissants) to the appointed cashier, my order of 2 baguettes Céréales for tomorrow Saturday 26 December after my morning jog to collect my order around 8:00 am. He accepted todo it. Especially since French bakery sells only 2 baguettes Céréales per day. So I insisted on keeping the 2 baguettes Céréales, like every Saturday with the same cashier. Very surprised that day, Saturday, December 26, that there was only one baguette Céréales available on display with the other baguettes instead of preserving the 2 baguettes Céréales in another place or wrapping them to respect my order. The only word from the usual cashier is to say (sorry sir). I remained very unhappy with his way of acting towards me and his great negligence, his lack of attention to a good client for a long time in a total disinterestedness from him. Unmotivated towards a good long-time client. Regret Anselme MarieMore

Lots of baked goods and coffee make you think you are in Europe! This is a place to snack so don’t expect a meal here. Once you order and pay for your food they bring it to your table. It is clean and comfortable and...has wifi.More

We absolutely loved the food at Baker Street. There was always a crowd but we managed to get a table every time. The place is self-service so that can be chaotic at times with the staff doing their best to manage the rush. But the...food is amazing we loved everything we tried. The quiches were just right. Probably one of the most famous places in pondicherry but I think it deserves that title.More

It's a good place but I found it far overpriced. People flock to it because it's open early in the morning, around 7, when most of the buses arrive to the city. The food is good but they loot you. Definitely not worth the value.

Group of 6-8 is not a problem...though you may have to wait a little....parking could be a problem because they have very small parking area...and it is located on a very busy street....

I ate there and I don't remember seeing a sign that says 'Halal meat served'. I'll suggest you to ask before placing your order. Or order their bakery & sweet items that do not have meat.
