We were three and entered the restaurant assured by the gate man that they served drinks and lunch. However after entering and settling down for a meal the waiter announced they had only one brand of beer . While I myself do not drink my...partners insisted they wanted a choice of drinks and so reluctantly we walked out. I must say in all fairness state that the view from the upstairs dining room with a panoramic view of the ocean was a treat to diners. A view, however, is no substitute for lack of stock of drinks and the management must take adequate steps to replenish their stock for their guests well in advance.More

Tried a chicken biryani. I found the meal good - and spicy. Fantastic view from the balcony over the bay of Bengal. The walls of the restaurant look like they need an upgrade.

The only nice thing in this restaurant is it's view to the sea. Typical Indian resto of very low quality food with relatively hight price. Service is ok without extra, but the server is polite and attentive. They don't have many things written on their...menu. They serve lots of alcohols, including beer and hard drinks, so the restaurant is full of Indian men (10 men, 3 women for lunch, from which I am the only solo and westerner). I can imagine at dinner and after!More

Visited here during our visit to the Paradise beach. The Chunnambar Boat House has a vast campus and this restaurant is located near the gate entrance. Food was being prepared and parcels were made for transporting to the Paradise Beach canteen, so we could not...taste the lunch, but overall location, sitting arrangement and cleanliness were quite appealing.More

After a day of scooting around to attractions in Pondicherry, we sat on the roof for a beer and watched the beach as the sun went down. Beautiful

Its a nice place if you want to enjoy your drink along with beautiful view of the sea from rooftop. Best time to visit would be after 7 PM. Drinks are not over-priced and they have decent options for starters.

This is mainly a bar restaurant. We Went here on a weekday with a large group. We were seated on the upper level which had a good breeze from the sea. The view is good. Food is pretty good for the prices it is mainly...a bar place with some food run by the government. You can walk to the sandy beach from the bar restaurant Their local specialities with fish and chicken starters were quite good maybe a bit spicy but they adjust the spice according to tasteMore

Awesomest Location , overlooking the sea . Food is excellent . Easy parking available . The Govt should spend a little bit to make it not look run down .

A government owned run by the Tourism development corporation I presume , This Sea Gull restaurant is a place I love to enjoy the evenings with a drink and snack. Wonderful sea sight and the blue watters hitting the shores which are just meters away...from my table. The food I ordered for Chicken and mutton side dishes with a friend rice was served fast and hot, the taste was good and upto my expectations, They have a stock of a variety of drinks to choose from. The staff are fine in their service . The place could have been maintained a bit more better I feel but no regrets to have a drink and dinner at Sea Gulls Puducherry.More
