Coffee, tea, snacks, fresh juice... Athough it was very hot in Pondichéry, when you sit in the garden of Café des Arts, in the thick shadow of the trees, you feel immediately better. Great place and very nice staff.

Pathetic food and pathetic service, rude and unapologetic manager. We were 7 seven people including 2 senior citizens and a 2 year old kid, they gave us seat in open sun in 45°C temp instead of inside, seat was available, instead they gave 7 seat table to 3...young girls. When asked about it,they tried to make excuses. Food is also not good, most of the things are unavailable, don't know why there is so much hype. When asked to remove service charge which is legally voluntary, they denied and behaved like gundas.More

I would have given a better rating if even one item from our order was right. The place always has a super long waiting and Tuesdays closed. During this pandemic time they are also checking your vaccination certificate before you enter. A lot of places...in Pondy close by 6PM and this is one of them. True to its hype it's an instagrmable cafe with the trademark Mustard graffiti walls...but for us it was nothing beyond that. Our order One of the brekkie with eggs, hashbrown toast and juice. I asked for well done eggs which has cooked yolks. Chocolate crepe and americano - The coffee came - it lacked flavour, I have had better coffee at not so popular cafe around this place - Hashbrown was more like Indian spiced aloo bonda than a hashbrown and it was cold as hell. - egg yolks were runny - toasts like really really hard, if I would have tried to bite and pull I would have definitely come out with lesser teeth!! Had to send the brekkie plate back. It came back with warm aloo bonda, same half eaten toast on the plate and one deshaped + one half runny yolk. Normally when you send a plate back, you get a fresh plate but we got the same plate with one toast half eaten. - crepe was like a hybrid of dosa and crepe with a bit slimy batter and thick in the middle, crispy like a dosa on the edges. This we couldn't eat. Juice was the only edible item!! How would I rate this place ambience 3.5/5 Staff 3.5/5. Service 3/5. Food 1/5 would I ever go back? No, never. But those who want to get their pictures clicked they can reach the cafe before 8.30 or on Tuesday and their pictures clicked against their popular walls. Other than that there was nothing for me in this cafe. ITS NOT WORTH ALL THE HYPE...COZ FOR ME IF A CAFE CAN'T SERVE GOOD FOOD, instagrmable walls will not compensate for it!!More

The hostess doesn't believe in taking reservations, will ask you to hand around outside for forty minutes with a cocky demeanor and say proudly they don't note down who came first. We were so put off by her non courteous gestures that we left to...cafe coromandel and that was great.More

This one is quite a famous cafe in Pondicherry to click some really good pictures. The ambiance of the place is a bit quirky and really good. I was already very full when I visited this place. So, I couldn't try much. I tried their...vegan coconut almond bread and garlic bread. The coconut bread was aptly sweet. The garlic bread (tartine) was served with mashed potato and some cabbage pickle and tasted nice. It was a pleasant experience.More

A lovely cafe with decent food and a relaxed vibe. Would recommend some of the chef's specials as opposed to ordering off the menu directly.

This place is really photogenic but not really a place for foodies seeking for good food. It is one fancy French breakfast place for Instagramers. I found the place is bit overpriced but I would still suggest to check it out for one coffee ana...croissant to have those pictures because that more important.More

We went there for a cold beverage as it was hot and we had gotten tired of walking around the white town. We saw good reviews online of this place and decided to visit it. It's a bea, quirky, insta worthy cafe that caters largely...to the youth. The food isn't distinct or extraordinary but the vibe of the place is. We had the mint ginger lemon juice and it was fresh, refreshing and cooling. The staff is good, service quick. Prices on the steeper side but the ambience more than makes up for it.More

The cafe is situated in Pondi white town. The colorful entrance to the cafe, big lawn/garden sitting area, beautiful architecture inside takes you back in time. Cozy, comfy not too formal arrangements. Serves breakfast and lunch. The crepes are omelettes are superb! So are the...juices. A must visit for breakfast/lunch/brunch. If it gets busy you may experience delay in service and have to follow up quite a few times. Thats the only drawback I would say.More
