We went to the Finz restaurant with family and we are glad that we had dinner there, the food and the overall experience was memorable and now this place will be a must visit for us when we tour Pondicherry again. The seats were sanitized...before we sat, tables were well spaced keeping in mind the covid safety , theres outdoor seating and sufficient lighting if you choose the hut style tables, highlight is the restaurant is next to the beach and one can enjoy the sea breeze. Coming to the food, its a buffet experience, but don't get disheartened since there's plenty of variety and range. There is drinks menu one can order from which includes interesting and fresh mocktails and cocktails as well. The starters, as this is a sea food restaurant has range of sea foods from good sized prawns cooked in various styles on tawa as well as tandoor, to full sized fried pomfret , to anchovis, to dry masala crab, to squid, and different sea fishes. Each item in the starter was tasty and the chef was making same item with different seasoning on different serving rounds and it tasted delicious. The starter has a really wide range and the preparation was also great. Next to the main course experience, there was fish curry and crab masala curry and we loved both of them. There was tandoori chicken as well which we took a pass since we went for the sea food experience. From there we shifted to deserts and had some gulabjamuns and brownies and liked the taste and freshness. In our overall experience we were helped by Nijanthan. He was really helpful throughout, answered all our queries and tried his best so that we get a memorable experience. What stands out is the suggestions on different style of preperation we should try and thankfully we did try and loved the taste. A big thankyou once again to Nijanthan and the Chef.
