I don’t care whatever you choose to do, where you choose to stay in Fuerteventura, if you don’t eat at El Bar de Mario y Moni then your trip has been wasted.
We had the divine anchovies, the mind blowing Apple meatballs in blue cheese and caramelised onion sauce and the superb goats cheese with banana jam and red pepper salsa. I am totally lost for words at how incredible the food was. I can not recommend here enough. It was completely ‘oh my gosh with every bite.
This family know what they are doing with food and drink. I don’t know whether it is tourist food or not but it is delicious and worth every euro.

Visited Marco's & Moni's last week , first initial thought was that the staff seemed super busy and quite distracted as we stood akwardly waiting to see if we were able to be seated.
When we were finally seated we had our drinks order taken immediately followed shortly by our food order.
Food was outstanding and came out in order of what was cooked first, we had the apple and blue cheese meatballs (was eager on this one so picture only shows 1 meatball when there were 3 in total) the goats cheese selection, serrano ham, fried octopus and spinach and blue cheese croquettes, the food cannot be faulted, tasted great and portions were fairly sized.
When the rush quietened down, the servers were able to be alot more chatty and friendly. However it wasn't until we got back to our hotel and checked our bill that we realised we got charged for an extra round of drinks. We did order these drinks but unfortunately, due to the staff being super busy and distracted, we never received them. We just assumed they had forgotten so decided not to bother and ask again as we had already finished our food and was ready to leave.
When we asked the waitress where the nearest taxi rank was, she was super helpful and ordered us one.
So even though we got charged an extra €12 for 2 drinks we never received, everything else is faultless and we just put it down to a shortage of staff on a very busy evening, mistakes are made and it didn't effect our over all satisfaction of our visit.

Marco and Monica have run a tapas bar for many years in the shopping precinct. Two years ago they moved to a much better and larger location. They are busy, even on a Wednesday, so advisable to book. Th food hasn't changed, but there are a lot more staff. Nevertheless Marco himself explains the menu to everyone personally and takes the orders. This is much appreciated, but slows down the service when busy.
The food hasn't changed, still excellent value. We were also offered 4 specials of which we shared one - the chickpea dish, which was really tasty. The octopus salad was good too, but the other dishes were rather ordinary , anchovies and meatballs both little flavour and the baby squid (chipperones), which we normally love, were covered with too much flour and stuck together.
The total price including a bottle of wine and water was Euro 61 - good value

We have been here especially to eat on this place which looked remarkable in the area of Costa Calma.
Arrived on a calm a terrace situated on the second floor of the building, we waited for 10/15 minutes before receiving the menu, which actually we didn’t receive it but I needed to stand up and go myself to take a picture of it.
Afterwards, we received on our table the manager of the restaurant who finally showed and explained us the dishes with a menu.
Afterwards, after 45 minutes we just received two beers and a bottle of water, but we could note that the table aside us with, two people as well, almost finished their meal and were about to finish their dessert. Therefore, we started to warn twice that if we could not receive our dishes soon we could leave their restaurant.
After other 5 minutes we finally received the first tapas, after more or less 1 hour since we entered. Besides, I want to clarify that the place was having around 30/40 clients at that moment among different tables, but this does not justify such organization, especially when there are tapas that could have been prepared in 5 minutes as “fried croquettes”.
Food was good honestly and we would have ordered dessert or any other additional dishes but we absolutely avoided otherwise there was the risk to wait until dinner time, seriously..
Besides, the waiter was justifying the delay because apparently the manager did the mistake to put aside our order and when we were paying the bill, the manager was giving blame to his colleague, therefore you can understand how mess was the situation.
As cherry on the top of the cake, the bill was wrong (double beers and water than the ordered number) and again the manager was putting blame on his colleague when actually himself took the orders.. embarrassing situation but fortunately was time for us to go finally.. maybe..

Went here based on reviews and price band, I always like to try local places and sometimes real
Local places offer the best & cheapest tapas.
What I thought I ordered and what arrived were two slightly different things but that was no ones fault, just a language barrier.
Had cheese, very fresh & delicious chorizo with bread with alioli, meatballs and a salad with goats cheese & strawberries - also really tasty. Desserts looked lovely but we were too full to try!
Service was a little slow to start with but overall, we enjoyed. Needed a reservation for lunch or dinner which we did the night before.
Varied menu with specials and a nice view of the beach.

Very poor service, got the bottom of a bottle of red wine that wasn’t a proper measure.
Menu fish or meat, asked about gluten free and vegetarian and got cheese or salad.
The titles says gluten free, vegetarian and vegan, l don’t think so!!!!!!!
Then asked 4 times for the bill before actually getting it.
Not worth going in the lift.
Shambolic even Marko was unhelpful.
A waste of 30 minutes for useless service and nonexistent menu.

No se donde ha leído,sin gluten, vegetariano o vegano, porque no está escrito en ningún sitio.
Antes de pedir algo usted lee la carta,así que si no le gusta ,puede levantarse e irse a otro restaurante.
Opina todo lo contrario de lo que opina el 95%de las personas que nos han visitado,así que puede que el problema sea usted y no nosotros.
Otra cosa, nuestros vinos no tienen posos.

Went for a family dinner after reading reviews and wanting to stay local to our hotel. Only a ten minutes walk from the H10 Tindaya.
Great service and excellent food. Tapas maybe slightly different from what we would expect in the UK (obviously authentic) but ha some fabulous specials on that the waitress detailed. Portion sizes were much bigger than usual small terracotta type dishes you would normally get.
One thing to bare in mind is they brought the dishes out as they were ready rather than all at once (they wouldn't have fitted on table otherwise) and this actually allowed us to cancel the final dish as it would have been wasted.
Given how quiet the resort is just now I found the reviews very helpful.

We absolutely loved our meal here. Tapas with a view. All the staff were very friendly and attentive and all the tapas we ordered was absolutely delicious, especially the baby octopus. We’d over ordered and they even offered for us to be able to take the extra away.
Very good value , fresh and delicious food, delightful service- what more could you want!

We found this tapas restaurant on trip advisor and it was just across the road from our hotel. What a find 😁 excellent food wonderful helpful staff. Best tapas we've ever had. The special was cuttlefish and potatoes (if this is on you've got to try it, it's amazing)

We spent a lovely evening here, and ate some delicious tapas dishes - Leti's recommendations were brilliant and the service was so helpful and friendly. The meatballs with apple and blue cheese sauce and Moni's chicken were so good - it should be called Voodoo chicken! They make excellent mojitos too, the best we've had abroad. Thanks again Leti for looking after us, and all the staff! Highly recommended.

We visited for lunchtime tapas last Thursday. Absolutely amazing selection including octopus, chorizo, Serrano ham, cheese meatballs, cheese and olives (to name a few) and some great mojitos and wine. Think this is a must for anyone in the area.

We have been there today and the first day of our stay in Costa calma for a nice experience. The view is beautiful, the sea of Costa calma.
Tapas are very tasty and filling, plus the staff are super friendly and very professional in the service.
There are also menus available in some other languages, in our case Italian. We appreciated it a lot.
Thanks to the positive reviews we found this place and I really recommend it!

Very nice food and atmosphere
We had a perfect evening in this lovely tapas restaurant which has perfect drinks and wine selection , super delicious food and the most outstanding desserts we ever ate. The cheese cake was world class!
Also the service and staff were wonderful.
Can recommend !

Good food, great idea you can choose tapas amount or a regular portion of a menu position. The tapas ones are just enough, not at all that small as someone suggested here in one of the reviews. Definitely good food quality and a place we'll gladly be back to! Reasonable prices. Come and enjoy.

We visited for dinner and shared three excellent tapas (salad, baby squids and eggplant) plus a local beer. Service was quick and attentive. The meal was very good value for money.
