Visited this restaurant on recommendation. Wish I hadn’t listened. The steak was like rubber inedible. Meal was returned and replaced but not with what we asked for, by then the kids had eaten and we had given up on having any nice food. Tried to...complain but it was a waste of time and the staff still tried to charge for steak. Steak was removed from the bill but not easily. To many customers not enough staff. Better food at smaller local restaurantsMore

Visited here on recommendations and very pleased . I have eaten a lot of belly pork all over Europe and this one was the best. Staff very attentive and the place was spotless.

Visited this restaurant for tapas and was welcomed and served by friendly staff from start to finish. Nice complementary welcome drink and helpful advice regarding how many tapas was best for two people. When it turned cooler during the evening the staff ensured a heater...was lit and in close proximity to make sitting outside comfortable and pleasant. Food was ample and if good quality as was the sangria. Would have been five circle rating had it not been for the overcharging on the bill. Paying for a tapas that was ordered but they didn’t have available however we were charged for this tapas and didn’t realise until the bill was paid. At nine euros for the tapas it was an expensive mistake. Although a genuine mistake it should have been struck from the order and bill when they realised the dish was no longer available. Top tip then is to ensure you check your bill and only pay for what you received.More

We had heard very good things about the restaurant and were even given a card to say free drink of pink muscado when you have a meal, which unfortunately everyone else seemed to get except us. We waited for some time and eventually ordered a...cava sangria, not exactly sure what it was when it came but wasn't very nice, tasted like banana diluted with lemonade. We waited for a good 20 mins for anyone to come over to ask about food, looked like we weren't the only ones. When it came chicken lasagne was excellent, the steak was cooked well but fatty and over priced for what it was. Will definitely not return, I think they let too many people in for the number of staff they have.More

Absolutely gutted to give this restaurant such a low score as been hear at least six times over the last few years and always been a five out of five. If you are after a quick meal and drink and only have an hour or...so to spare please avoid we witnessed several groups having drinks then leaving as they had waited too long to even order The menu hasn't changed much but the crispy prawns and the calzones we ordered were brilliant but the desert was overpriced and bland. Very clean and tidy but the service was very poor but they let too many people in compared to the staff they have. Disappointed as this is usually one of the best meals in Costa teguise.More

First visit was great, very attentive and food was done very well. Setting is awesome with a very classy atmosphere. However our second visit was a bit of a disaster for some reason. Order confused, steaks cooked wrong although they insisted on replacing it..wrong again...but I couldn’t bring myself to complain yet again, guess we just caught them on a bad night. Beautiful restaurant though and well worth a visitMore

Friends took us to this restaurant on a special evening out as it was meant to be superb. The staff appeared to act professionally and seemed well drilled, though not always getting things right. The waiter opened our bottle of wine by our table and...I nearly got my hand covered in wine as I wrongly assumed that he was pouring a small amount for me to see if it was OK, just as every other waiter had done in every other restaurant in town that we had eaten the previous 3 nights. Instead, he proceeded to fill everyone's glass. The food was far from satisfactory. After our main courses, two of us chose desserts and the other two coffees. The coffees appeared after we had finished our desserts and soon after that the bill appeared without us asking for it. What a disappointment! That said, if you like eating in huge, characterless dining areas with piped loud music, then this one is for you.More

Visited this restaurant tonight and I will not be going back! Staff were quite surly and whilst I was there the table next to us made the same comment. My son had a burger which was gristly which they did knock off the bill. Calzone...was dry. No tomato sauce was brought out with the order so addressed this with staff. The same calzone came back out with a cold dish of what I could only describe as salsa. Great location but really disappointing!More

Ate at El Maestro last week and we had a great meal, even though my main wasn't very hot. Returned with friends - our friend's steak was full of gristle, and no-ones veg was hot. Also my chicken, although tasty, wasn't hot. Coffees were great....Such a shame, it could almost have been wonderfulMore
