Place over half full upon arrival. The offer in and out of roofed area tables. Waiter frendly and willingness to explain dishes. Drink orders would come in quick. Food is served in decent quantities. Flavors are good. As per waiters abandoning their tables for a...More

This place had some of the best food I have ever tasted. Highly recommended. Go early if you can because this place can really fill up. On another note, stay away from the restaurants inside El Parian. Those are gross tourist traps.

Had a great time on my second visit to El Abajeno. The food and service was still as good as I remembered it. Added bonus this time was the live mariachi band which was very entertaining.

This place was so busy but they got us in pretty quickly and served us well. Lots of good people watching and entertainment. A large band. And then Latin dancers. One of the best chile rellenos I have had. Salsa was okay, not the best.

I has the chicken fajitas and they were just ok. I have had a tough time finding good restaurants in Tlaqapaque. Just as happy eating at quarto kilo next to this place for 100p.
