A very nice location in the centre of Baslow where the staff were pleasant and helpful and the food was served quickly and effectively. However the food was disappointing and pricey for what we got. The limited menu available to our group was in some...More

Hi 'ATripadvisormember' Naturally we are disappointed to hear that all was not right on your latest visit. As you will see from the majority of our other reviews our food is highly praised. Given your score of 3 out of 5 isn't half bad so...More

We booked lunch for 14:30 by which time the restaurant was very busy. A number of options had run out but we were happy with what remained. I had the "Roast Rump of Beef" - the server asked if I was happy if it was...More

The food here was lovely with each course arriving in quick succession but what a shame about the service. Long waits from the point of us being seated with the staff friendly yet more interested in the older diners in the restaurant and getting empty...More

Lunched here with friends. We selected the "Lunch for Less" menu, which gave a choice of 3 starters, 3 mains, and four sweets. All courses consumed by the three of us declared to be very good, with the exception of a caramelised chestnut gnocchi main course,...More

From the moment we arrived a lovely experience. Our waitress, Abbi, was very knowledgeable about the menu and wine list. A great menu.. I chose English asparagus with a poached egg (perfectly runny) with a tasty sauce gribiche( tangy and perfect). My husband chose the...More

Record 41 minutes from parking up to pulling away for a two course meal with drinks (of course). The emphasis here is on speed and efficiency rather than friendly and relaxed. Only 1 vegetarian starter and main course available means very limited options for vegetarians....More

Hello Commuterpartners, There is a delicate balance between customers in a hurry and others that want to enjoy themselves for longer. It is certainly the 'Goldilocks' effect that we deal with day in day out in this trade. We always allow tables of two at...More

I enjoyed my meal here, food and service very good standard. I had the hake which I thought was good enough to rival any fish restaurant, nice selection of cheeses and decent wine. The only thing not quite to my liking was the fact it...More

Description
Rowley’s Restaurant and Bar sits on the edge of the beautiful Chatsworth Estate in the pretty village of Baslow. Our passion is fresh, seasonal food using local ingredients in an informal and relaxed atmosphere. The bar is a great place to meet up with friends, open from 10 am serving Fairtrade coffee. Call in at any time for a glass of wine, hand crafted beer from a local brewery, or join us for a light lunch or an informal dinner. Rowley’s boasts three contemporary dining areas, ideal for lunch, supper or dinner. We will look forward to welcoming you soon.
