Consistently amazing!

We have been using this restaurant regularly for around a year now for both lunch and dinner at least once a week and I can honestly say that the food is amazing every time. They consistently deliver some of the best Indian food that I have ever tasted, fresh, flavoursome and delicious, the staff are friendly and helpful which compliments the dining experience. Absolutely delicious

If I could I gave 7 points for this Indian restaurant. The food was absolutely amazing starting with the Mixed platter - every piece was perfect - to the paneer dish and the yummy peshwari naan. I can say that this is the best Indian food we had outside of India. Chapeau!

We just love this restaurant.

We just love this restaurant. Every year on our way to Wanaka we make sure we have a night in Rangiora so we can have dinner at A Picket Full of Spices. The food is outstanding - so fresh and you can really taste the spices. Sandeep, one of the owners is charming and goes out of his way to make our experience amazing. Manager Steve is also charming and so interesting to talk to. We cannot recommend highly enough.

Amazing hospitality and superb food

Having been before, we took my mum to the restaurant recently and had the best experience. The food is really well priced, big portions, flavoursome and with the widest choice. The manager came over and chatted which made my mum's night. We will definitely be repeat visitors and cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough. Simply our favourite Indian restaurant!

In our opinion this is the best Indian in Rangiora, best service, best value by far, excellent meals, you come away feeling full and satisfied. Best of all the drinks prices are reasonable. Other restaurants could learn a thing or two about there over the top drink prices. We go there frequently

This restaurant is always consistently excellent. We always make sure we stay in the Rangiora area on our way south so we can have dinner here. The ingredients and tastes are so fresh - like each dish is cooked from scratch. Sandeep and his staff are always so professional and friendly. Please come and open in Auckland!!

Exceptional Indian food with attention to detail

This is quite simply the best Indian food we have eaten in a very, very long time. The attention to detail and the treatment of the spices meant for absolutely amazing meals we could not stop eating. We always order onion bhajees as an entree to give a good indication of the care of spices. They were exceptional - spices and herbs we had not encountered ever before. The mains were out of this world. The prawns in the Jalfrezi even had their tails removed and there were plenty of them alongside plenty of veges. They accommodated my dairy free vegetarianism so well by adapting whatever dish I wanted. It was packed with veges and the care and level of spices was amazing. We both had medium spiced dishes and they were very on point in terms of heat. The service was exceptional and again the attention to detail heartening and appreciated. I watched the bar staff inspect a glass and find it not clear enough so put it out to wash and get another one to inspect. Not many restaurants bother with this. I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough. If you are in Rangiora make sure you visit for a truly delicious Indian meal. They take care to look after your dietary requirements and you will love the experience.

Fantastic consistent curries

I have been going to A Pocket Full of Spices in Rangiora for about 8 years now and had many meals both takewaway and sit-in. The curries and naans we have had over the years have been consistently excellent. Particular favourite of mine is the Saag Kofta. Very tasty food food, friendly staff and good value. Would not hesistate to recommend to others.

Fantastic as always!

Once again an evening meal in Rangiora at A Pocket Full Of Spices was deliciously good. Service is always wonderful and the food arrives fast and is first class. I've recently discovered that one of my favourite dishes is the vegetarian Aloo Mattar and it never fails to impress. Prices are great when dining in and even better when taking away. Absolutely one of Rangiora's bright lights when eating out!!

Great Northern Indian cuisine!

We've followed chef Mangal since his early days at the Himalayas restaurant in Christchurch, and he and his team are still turning our great food! Everything we try is delicious, and I'm particularly a fan of his chicken biryani. Mangal and Sandeep, thanks for the visit, keep up the great work!

A Must-Visit for Indian Food Lover's

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ “I had an incredible dining experience at Pocket Full of Spice! The flavors were authentic, and each dish was prepared to perfection. The service was exceptional, and the ambiance made for a perfect evening out. I highly recommend trying their butter chicken and garlic naan – absolutely delicious! This is definitely my new go-to spot for Indian cuisine in town.”

Just the best!

This is our most favourite restaurant in Rangiora. The food is consistently fantastically delicious and the service just incredible. We have been multiple times and we have always been impressed with the quality and taste. The staff are wonderful. Totally recommend this restaurant.

Delicious as usual

Dined here on a Saturday night. Got a table even though we hadn’t booked. Wine glasses appeared straight away when they saw we had BYO. Onion bharjis to start,( sauce was amazing), followed with chicken madras & lamb pasandra, which came with rice. The flavours were so delicious . Totally recommend. Sorry no pics.

One of the culinary highlights of Rangiora

This place has the best Tikka Masala I’ve ever eaten. The mango lassis are excellent. The décor is more understated than a lot of Indian restaurants and the music is pleasant. The staff who work there are friendly and welcoming.

Amazing!!!

Absolutely highly recommend, 10 stars! Beautiful food everytime we come here so delicious & very generous portions. Great friendly service, even going the extra mile to entertain our little ones.
