We had Pizza for lunch, which was very good but not the best. Decor was good and service was more than adequate.

We chose this restaurant to get something to eat based on TA reviews. There are not many choices in the village. This place had decent reviews and has a great view-IF you can get onto of the very few tables outside. We got a pizza and it was average at best but it did arrive at the table hot just... More

Let me begin by saying I have never written a review before, however my experience begged me to make an account just for this. My basic advice is that you bring your own food to Mt cook or you pay big and go to the Hermitage restuarant ( not that I have been but it looks much better). Now for... More

if you weren't happy with your food you were welcome to return it and we would have happily replaced it. Our staff are always willing to ensure you enjoy your time with us. Not saying anything and then shouting out your complaints on TA doesn't do anything for you, us or anyone, as by that time it's too late to... More

The burger and pizza were not one of the best we've had, but the service was good and the view is wonderful. Plus there aren't many other options close by. Good wine and beer.

Don't come expecting top notch service or food but for a decent meal in a room with fantastic views of Mt Cook, this is a pretty reliable choice. I've eaten here for lunch and dinner and the food was pretty basic but fine. The service is a bit slow and disorganised but you'll probably be here on holidays so there's... More

We were glad we had booked a table here as it was very busy when we arrived at 7pm.The service was good as was the food. I had the burger and chips and my husband had the Sir Ed sausages with vegetables. We then shared sticky date pudding. This is a casual restaurant which is child friendly.

Opens at 10am. Pricey spot for breakfast but still cheaper than eating at the hermitage. Food was ok.

Lovely views of Mt Cook! I had a late breakfast here after doing the Hooker Valley trail. Salmon bagel and a coffee.....not cheap but lovely, and I wasn't expecting it to be cheap as it's a fairly remote spot in which to be eating! Restaurant has a great atmosphere (I borrowed a climbing magazine whilst I ate my food) and... More

Great that you enjoyed your day with us and enjoyed the soul of our restaurant too. Thanks so much for taking the time to tell us you loved it. The salmon bagel and all our food compares with main centres in NZ, but you get more salmon with us. The code for the toilets is a must, as otherwise we... More
