Stopped at the Elan Valley visitor centre on returning from our walk. There was quite an extensive choice on the menu and you do not wait long to be served. The cafe was very clean and with a pleasant outlook over the river, the staff were especially kind to any older or less infirm visitors, The food was very nicely... More

Wonderful Beef Sunday lunch today, roast and boiled potatoes, Yorkshire pudding, carrots, peas, cabbage, swede, gravy. Delicious and huge plateful (would have been happy with half the amount for the same price). Very tasty, value for money at £8.50 along with good service from young team. Veg cooked well, not overdone, meat tasty as was the gravy. Will have Sunday... More

We don't often have a roast meal when out as they are often accompanied by over cooked vegetables, but the veggies with my roast pork were very well cooked, crisp and tasty. The meat was very tender with a great accompanying gravy, will be back again for another roast lunch on a sunday.

Scenic walking though watch out for over zealous mountain bikers whizzing past on bikes. Restaurant is very good value. We had pot if tea for two about 3.5 cups each cakes lovely but I prefer ones made with butter rather than margarine

One spaghetti bolognaise with garlic bread and one Lamb Cawl served in a crusty bread bun went down really, really well on a cold, wet and windy day. Lovely staff, great tasty food, a warm clean café and decent prices, what is not to love about this place. Especially if you are there to go for a walk along those... More

The Elan Valley & Dams is absolutely stunning, views to die for and something for everyone. Walking, cycling, photography, even perfect just for a scenic drive. The Visitors centre is a great resource to the area open 7days a week providing loos, endless local information, all staff are lovely and well informed so able to answer any questions. The cafe... Before visiting the beautiful lakes in the Elan Valley we had lunch in the visitor center, both of our meals were disappointing, the pork in the pulled pork burger did not taste like pork, and was served with very greasy chips. Two cakes purchased for eating later were also poor.Next time we visit Elan Valley we will come prepared with a... More

What a great place! Plenty to do walking, cycling and a good park. Cafe was ok but service very slow. Walking for all abilities and totally wheel chair friendly. Bring a bike or even hire one safe paths for children, even a bike designed for a disabled user what a great choice👌

Stopped off for a quick visit on our journey back home, ended up not so quick, as the information rooms and displays had so much great information it all deserved to get read. Then had a coffee and pasty, which was all very nice and reasonable price before going home. If we come this way again will definitely include the... More

It's a good place to start your 'Elan valley' tour with food, drink, toilets and info available and there is a lovely walk up to the top of Caban Coch dam that presents wonderful views of the Reservoir and valley. Fantastic area to explore with great walks and photography opportunities.
