This bar/restaurant was just around this corner from our rental cottage, where lunch was very nice, along with a sample or two of some local beers. It's a no frills place, which suited us just fine. Pleasant and friendly staff, along with good food is all you need.

Went with a group of friends. Squashed onto a table rather small for our party. Food was good but portions small and rather overpriced. Staff very inexperienced, which was reflected in the service. On the whole we were disappointed with the experience we had.

Visited for supper with family and friends during the week after Easter. The staff were polite and helpful - as our little boy is disabled we had requested a bench seat near the window to allow him to sit between us instead of in his wheelchair which they easily accommodated. Starters of whitebait, asparagus with pancetta and homemade scotch egg... More

We come here every year as a little pilgramage to my grandparents as my grandfather was the lighthouse keeper at the Southforeland Lighthouse. We love this hotel. Its a very well done shabby chic, beach style if that makes sense. We normally come down earlier in the year but this weekend the sun was out and this hotel just came... More

Went for lunch so ordered from the 'titbits' selection. Bread with oil and vinegar was not the best but the fried whitebait more than made up for that. Pleasant and efficient staff, so a big tick all round.

In spite of the good reviews was not good. The staff were very young and inexperienced. It took the young waitress 3 attempts to give us the correct bill. Supposed to be a pub but very much a hotel with a bar. The menu is average . I had the fish and chips which I thought would be good for... More

Lunch. We had pre booked. The food was acceptable however the staff, for most of the time not visible, we could hear them in the kitchen laughing. Not at any point were we asked if we would like anything else or another drink. No one came to clear our plates until they had been sat there for over 15 minutes... More

Popped in for lunch after a long walk on the cliffs. Very pleasant and accomodating staff and very tasty sunday roast. We also had bread and olives and tea for free!
