Ok so as a part time resident of Barga I’ve always found this bar to be a nice place to visit. The burgers are fantastic when you just fancy a taste of home but today we went in to watch the Brighton v Man Utd...game and as you would expect we were the only people that wanted to watch it in fact we were the only people in there full stop. Then it gets to halftime and they decided to put the torino v Roma game on for the chef as he was the only other person to arrive to watch ( surely he should have been cleaning his cooker or something not sat in the bar dictating what should be on telly) anyway upshot is the only two paying customers they had then left. I understand we are in Italy but if you want to survive in business then surely pander to your audience not your staff #moneyinthetillMore

I ate here with 3 family members on Sunday. I should’ve left before eating as the place smelled of old cooking oil but stayed as we were eating outside. The service was non existent , we had to call staff over. The menus were cheap,...the table mats ,paper, the cutlery plastic and the plates , styrofoam .. the chicken was the cheapest re formed rubbish that I’ve ever seen, it was brown with air bubbles, the salad was wilted and old, my burger was of poor gristle quality in a burned bun, the fish and chips were greasy and anaemiac . It was disgusting . We complained about the chicken and they said “oh you were probably expecting white meat” !! Upon leaving I was laughed at and told there was nothing wrong with food as others seemed to like it. Customer service is not in their vocabulary. I highly recommend you stay away. I was given a €10 discount even though hardly any food was eaten. Two meals were left untouched . A terrible experience and an embarrassment as I had family here on holidayMore

It is a reasonably priced Irish themed pub in small Italian town. Service is good. Atmosphere fun and the music good.

Polystyrene plates, plastic knives and forks. Okay, so maybe it is so good it doesn’t matter. But... no... food came up and all 4 meals delivered equally as dreadful. Anemic looking fish and chips. A burger with a pepper on the menu (ground black pepper!!!...😂) in a very black burnt bun. And most amazingly a chicken burger with salad which was a reformed chicken meat of some form moulded into a beige pattie. Like no ‘chicken’ I’ve ever seen... but apparently due to them griddling! Unsurprised staff at our response to food and offered to change meal but to be honest nothing was appetising so wasn’t an option. We left chicken as just too bad and ate some burger and some chicken. We paid but honestly laughed at just how bad and will be very memorable for all the wrong reasons for a very long time. Avoid at all costs!More

While being a very down to earth place, the quality of the food is high. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Prices are very reasonable. The view is breathtaking.

Spent two weeks in Italy over summer and the majority of evenings were spent dining in this place! The food is fantastic, the serve is wonderful and the prices are good. All the staff here are very welcoming and attentive. The rooftop bar is a...fantastic place to sit and have a few drinks, and they tend to have DJ's on of an evening also. The vegan burger is beautiful - with 2 of us being vegan it can be difficult to find somewhere to eat. We are returning to Barga in 2017 and will no doubt be frequenting this place again!More

We have been coming to the previous restaurant Trattoria Da Riccardo for many years and always had good meals and loved that it was a family business. Was sad when it closed and then the Shamrock Pub came. Didn't think to go for dinner there...as I thought it was a bar. Boy was I pleasantly surprised tonight when I did go to eat. The menu is huge, great eats, good value and the family business is still there with Riccardo and Adele's son running the place and Riccardo still cooking. One of the best meals I have had in Barga and I eat at all of them since I have a home here. Don't be fooled that is a pub, the menu is nice a little bit for everyone. Try it out you won't be disappointed.More

We had to eat dinner early one night (most restaurants don't open before 1930) so stumbled upon this pub. Although it is an Irish Pub it has a great locals atmosphere to it. The night we were there they had a football game on and...a number of fans watching, snacking and drinking. The food is rather simple, burgers and other pub grub but with a local spin. For example I had the hamburger with local farmmagio on it. The beer list is short but the essential Guinness and Smtihwicks are on there. I'd recommend this place for a break from the normally wonderful Italian food.More

I have been going to barga for many many years there are lots of good eating places one of which was Trattoria Da Riccardo the food the atmosphere the staff and management were first class, when I heard that there was plans to turn the restaurant...was to close and reopen as an Irish pub made me slightly sad,the transformation took a few weeks and I have been in the Irish pub many times since they opened there is still s family connection involved so the heart is still in there the food, mostly various burgers ,fish n chips and a selection of Italian anti pasti is still fantastic and great value the atmosphere is warm and if I am honest loud but enjoyable from start to finish it still rates highly on my places for food and relaxing,go sample it it's great cheersMore

to think this has gone from a fabulous Tuscan restaurant to an 'Irish' pub is extremely sad. I used to go to this restaurant almost daily whilst here in Barga visiting family and was devastated to hear it had been transformed into an 'Irish' pub....Went for a drink tonight and to be honest other than Guinness and Harp lager, oh and some very loud Irish rock music in the form of the Dropkick Murphys (who I love and have seen live) I fail to see what is Irish about this place. The Guinness is warm and unpleasant. My aunt had her drink brought to her in a plastic cup! Food was not Irish oriented either. Once was more than sufficient for me! Sad, very sad.More
