Lieve Lente is overlooking De Lind and the Old Council Hall. Great place to stay after a hell of a bike ride. Staff is young and therefore not very experienced....we would say: smile with every coffee you serve. Because there's nothing wrong with the coffees...we had. We'll be backMore

A nice pub for a quick drink. The beers are OK, especially my favorite LaTrappes are all there. Staff serve with a smile but were too much occupied with themselves and their friends instead of the visitors.They apparently had an exciting evening ahead.

While not ‘high end’, this is one of those really delightful local restaurants. You recognize them Because while most restaurants around the Lieve Lente were empty, this one was full (with only a few seats left). It has a (very) fake fireplace (too bad), a...bar that is somewhat separate from the dining area, cozy dark brown heavy set chairs and tables, dimmed lights, and this truly pleasant atmosphere, some chatter, but define not noisy. Fabulous servers (‘do you want to have your main course now after the soup or wait a moment?’ Wow it has been a long time that I heard servers putting their clients first in this way). I had the fall 3-course special, hearty, warm, not sophisticated (but I didn’t come here for sophisticated food). The meal was hearty and certainly worth the visit (only Euro 19.75). House wine was more than acceptable. Overall is great experience, definitely recommended when visiting this village.More
