This brasserie has almost everything. Extensive menu with delicious food and drinks, conviviality, friendly service, nice atmosphere with beautiful Christmas decorations. Lots of space for groups, but also areas that look like they are not busy so you can sit very quietly. It was also nice that there was no music on so you could hear each other well. I had a vegetarian dish with lentils, beans, mushrooms, nuts, etc., very tasty with a glass of non-alcoholic bubbles. Shared toast with mushrooms beforehand. The cappuccino with delicacy was also delicious. The service was very attentive and regularly asked if everything was to your liking. It was really a party and we will definitely come back.

Beautiful and cozy environment, nicely decorated restaurant, friendly staff and funny names on the menu. Usually very tasty. This time, however, not enough for the prawns. Therefore only 3 stars. Otherwise given 4 or 5 stars.
Nice name for the prawns (mmm.. that smells good). I thought the prawns were expensive but ordered them anyway. I couldn't have done better.
For 11 euros I got terrible prawns with oil and burnt garlic (and therefore a bitter taste!) with some bread. Yes, it smelled nice, but that was the only thing.
For that price I really expected tasty bread (with herb butter, for example) and plenty of juicy prawns in delicious oil with fragrant and tasty garlic.
Fortunately, the dessert made up for it somewhat. Delicious cheesecake with real whipped cream, fresh berries and strawberry mousse.

A very nice Brasserie, friendly and good, informed staff,
There is a menu for gluten-free food. The food was excellent and nicely served.
A minus point was: We chose the la la Gamba salad, according to the menu with stir-fried vegetables. Unfortunately the chef did not know what the menu was like. We got shrimps with mixed lettuce, clearly from a bag. A little disapointing

Great location but that is where the positives end.
Two of the dishes were prefab and disgusting. One a vegetarian lasagne that completely lacked taste and the other an out the freezer, cold/wet oyster mushroom-carpaccio which was insulting to serve.
To pay 16 euro for a prefab lasagne is utterly disgraceful.
While paying the bill the owner was to busy talking to his partner to even enquire how we found it or to say thank you or goodbye.
Don't go here for the food or sevice

Fries cold, bullet steak tough, after complaint new ones served and that was tender but especially cold inside. 😬😬😬 beef neatly removed from the bill. But the trust is gone. Twice a chance to make something of it, but for me never dinner again.

It's good to stay at this nice restaurant. We choose a table on the outdoor terrace at the large pond. The service is fast and comes with a smile. The dishes on the very extensive menu all have a catchy name: ‘chefkes burger’, ‘If you take one, you get two’ and ‘Mirror Jelly of Uncle Jan’. The dishes are prepared with care and taste excellent. Great ambiance, location. Too bad we were very tucked away in the corner with tables very close together. (corner only) Service was smooth and very friendly. The curry soup, white wine a chardonnay and dessert the apple strudel
were very tasteful. The main course was disappointing. A small portion with bland cooked vegetables. Ratatouille would be better. The gambas were color and despite the garlic tasteless. What a great experience at Brasserie Uncle Jan! We enjoyed a delicious dinner with the whole team. The hospitality of the staff made us feel right at home. There is something for everyone on the menu, and every dish tasted exquisite. Highly recommended for anyone who loves a warm atmosphere, friendly service and tasteful food. Uncle Jan has an extensive menu, food is good. The service is super friendly. The portions of salad are really big. We had a small salad but was also more than enough.

Already given several times to Uncle Jan. The service is always friendly, attentive and prompt. No effort is too much. I think the dishes you can choose from are great. We went there on a Wednesday. It was very busy. Tables are close together, making it look crowded and also quite noisy. Definitely a downside. But to my surprise, the operation still ran quite smoothly. It was our turn quickly. Food was also fine.

A nice place in the summer, you can sit outside and enjoy the surroundings. The menu has plenty of choices, no English menu is awailable. The club sandwich with egg salad was nice. If you don't care for smelling candles, don't use the toilet. A very popular place among the locals.
