About

We stoped here on our bike tour. Just as we arrived it started raining, so we sat inside. The waiters are really charming and get you into a good mood for sure. Food was formidable good as is the Humor of the guys . Clear recommendation from us.

Very popular restaurant in a beautiful scenery in the idyllic village Wilsede in the middle of the nature reserve Lüneburger Heide with good meals for lunch. We went to the restaurant two days in a row. The first time on a Sunday. It was almost impossible to get a table due the huge amount of guests and the very stressed staff lacking overview and mental ressources. They all refused to help us and referred to their colleagues for help and service. Apart from one waiter. The second time on the following Monday. We got a table immediately. The staff was welcoming, but forgetful. The cake was served 10 minutes after the coffee, and they newer served the cold milk we asked for twice. Both days we enjoyed their salad with fresh chanterelles. We give Gasthaus Zum Heidemuseum three stars for the delicius dishes for the money and the beautiful idyllic scenary in Wilsede.

If you like German food, make sure you visit here. The waiters are very friendly and know alot about the local cuisine. We ordered the ragout and it was the best we had. It's made from local products and the price/quality/quantity was perfect. There are also some local beers available. Thumbs up!

A hike and a nice lunch. More is not expected. We arrived in drizzle at the beautifully located restaurant. After a short wait we were brought to a table and given a card. Everything went very fast and friendly. I went for a heather pout, my wife decided on the turkey steak. That, too, happened very quickly. Good, the fried potatoes should have been a little crispier and the salad was oldschool. On the whole, that was fine.

The surroundings are really beautiful and relaxing, wonderfully situated in the forest. The waiter was very reserved, but tried hard. The food was not good, it tasted a bit like ready-made food. We expected more for the rather high prices. We won't eat here again, at least not hot meals.

I decided to take a short trip to this beautiful museum village in Wilsede with the Gasthof zum Heidemuseum. The reason was because the heather was in bloom in most regions at that time. You can only arrive here by car with a special permit and are only allowed to use it again when you leave, as it is in the middle of a nature reserve. The hosts and the entire service team are very friendly, helpful and very concerned about their guests. Here I got an excellent all-round package with my booked accommodation, the inn and of course the wonderful surroundings in the nature reserve in the middle of the Lüneburg Heath. I felt very comfortable, so I can recommend this accommodation with a clear conscience.

It was a hot day in the high season and we expected it to be full. But there were 3 tables free outside that were supposed to be reserved. We were seated at a table where the other guests had finished eating and were soon leaving. After ordering our food, our place was the only one that was slowly being exposed to the sun and it was getting hotter and hotter - almost unbearable in the sun at 30 degrees in the shade. We had been waiting for the food for a while, but as it hadn't arrived yet, I asked to change tables. There were still 3 tables free - supposedly all reserved, we could have gone into the restaurant. As we continued to wait for our food, I realized that the tables were definitely not reserved, but that guests were supposed to sit inside if possible so that "free tables" would attract guests. Perhaps they only seated larger groups outside - there were only three of us. As we couldn't stand the sun any longer, we simply sat down at another table. Our drinks were empty and the food still hadn't arrived. The waiter came and told us that the cash register had been out of order for a short time and that was why our food had not been recorded. I was no longer hungry, so my companion ordered again. When the food was delivered, another waiter explained that the meal receipt had been printed out illegibly... two different statements, if the receipt is illegible, they don't ask about it straight away...? As the restaurant was no longer very busy, the two "reserved" tables were moved apart and guests were seated - they hadn't reserved, I had asked. When it's busy, I can put up with and accept a lot, but the thing with the "reserved" tables was pretty cheeky! They leave guests stewing in the sun who had ordered the most expensive dishes and also ordered dessert and coffee, even though there were 2-3 tables free the whole time! As we had been waiting for ages, I had a good overview of the situation. Some tables with 4-5 people shared a dish or only ordered a little soup. Determining the outdoor seating based solely on the number of people doesn't always pay off - it's also anything but customer-oriented! Next time we'll definitely go to the self-service shop - you choose your own tables, you take the food with you and it's much cheaper!

A typical, nicely decorated inn in the middle of the car-free heath village of Wilsede with large terraces. Extensive menu with dishes for every taste and budget. Regional specialties. Impressive selection of cakes. Solid, tasty home cooking at reasonable prices. The service is particularly noteworthy. In the "rush hour" in the best weather, the service staff were "nimble as weasels" and despite these circumstances, all of them (really all of them!! that we could observe) had a smile and a friendly word for the naturally very different guests. Bravo!! We haven't experienced anything like this for a long time; the owner can be justifiably proud of his team. Accordingly, the humorous sign in the garden with the inscription "50 meters - good mood food and delicious service" is completely appropriate!

It was a real rip-off. Charging 5.90 euros for 0.3 ml of blueberry lemonade. The price was not clearly stated. It was sparkling water with 1 ice cube and some frozen blueberry juice with 1 blueberry, 1 tiny piece of lemon and 1 mint leaf.
