In Gokarna I saw the best beaches in my home life till now. But don't go the the polluted Gokarna beach. There are much better beaches in the south of the city. Ask for kuddle beach and take the half hour track to that place. From there you can reach Om beach, Paradise beach and half moon beach easily by... More

Nearby Gokarna is an ancient holy place...Its vibes shelter the surroundings. Kudle Breach is a gentle, family place...with friendly vibes, lots of young hippie moms with babies, sweet sunset music scene. Relatively unspoiled compared to Goa.

We had an unbeatable experience in Gokarna. Its a small town overloaded with tourist attractions - 3 beaches, 3 temples, wonderful food options, great things to shop for. The part that I liked most was that the place is in no hurry to get anywhere. The people are calm and composed and not in a hurry to earn more money.... More

It's a picturesque small town with few beaches and many temples in & around in Karnataka. Well connected by rail & road. It's not an alternative to Goa since the local tourism department has not put in efforts to develop the place and beaches. Good for 2-3 days stay if interested in temples & waterfalls apart from beach. Not many... More

Gokarna beach- A back water stream running parallel to the beach limits sewage entry point into the sea. Result- a relatively clean beach adjacent to habitation. Gokarna is a long Beach with low slope and thus a fun. Bathing facilities are available here, which is a standard feature at beaches in Karnataka. But the nearby famous OM beach didn't live... More

Whats exciting about this place is the route to get there! Not an easy one, one must go pass through ghat road and finally get here and attain solitude. A calm place and good beaches around. Good for pocket and fun to hangout with friends.

Lovely place to just chill out! We went in the off season (Apr end), and were thrilled to see only a handful of people on the beach. Similar to Goa, few shacks close down during the off season. Dragon Cafe (by the beach) has great breakfast!
