All reviews pizza lemon mousse brisket potato gratin duck curry salad fries sharing platter craft beer girls trip delicious dinner great beer super tasty food was amazing on tap highly recommend this restaurant
Lovely meal - well presented and served. We had only main courses as we had eaten out for lunch. The portion sizes were very generous, such that we were unable to finish it all.
We were a last minute walk in, the place was busy for a Thursday night.
The food was fabulous and the service was fast and friendly.
I highly recommend the mushroom croquettes and the sharing platter main.
The blue lake gin & tonic was divine.
What a gem this restaurant is. It is so popular that we could only get a booking at 5pm. We took it. We started with a starter which we shared and I had the slow cooked Canterbury lamb with roasted vegetables, garlic and a seasonal...salad. WOW! The taste was sensational. Unbelievable. My wife who is Coeliac had a delicious venison dish and it too was sensational. We ended up with a dessert that we shared. Summer Cherry and jeepers... It was amazing. Service and ambience was great. An unbelievable meal! Highly recommended.More
We were disappointed that the grazing platter was not for two people and serving just 1 prawn was strange, a bit of cheese, a few crackers and over seasoned dry chicken had to be given back to the chef.. 2nd time not that good either....Spek was not very tasty so all round an expensive meal with little to like.
They tried but not good.More
My partner and I came here for dinner on Sunday and we were blown away! The restaurant itself was inviting and cozy. We were well looked after - especially with my dietary requirements - and our waiter (I suspect the Duty Manager) and waitress went...above and beyond. Their service was incredible - extremely hard to find nowadays. They were extremely knowledgable about the food and gave excellent recommendations; their fried chicken and Summer Cherry is an absolute must have if you're visiting Lake Tekapo. The Summer Cherry is the South Islands hidden gem <3 All the food is delectable - we ordered the short ribs, lamb rump with kumara wedges as mains. I cannot recommend this place enough! Thank you for providing such an amazing experience - we cannot wait to come backMore
We had the shared platter of Smoked Lamb Rump, Beef Short Ribs and Mushroom Rissoto absolutely stunning with good portion size. Went for the chefs duo for dessert 'Wow' the cherry dessert is fit for a Michelin star Restaurant and the Paris Breast was yummy....Throughly recommend dining here.More
Where to start.... Not a great deal of places to eat in Tekapo and most places shut Monday and Tuesday. Blue Lake (booking highly recommended) was out of this world. Service was fast but not rushed. The food was outstanding, you definitely get what you...pay for. Never go for dessert but after seeing some come out to other customers it was a must. Cherry chocolate absolutely amazing. Will definitely come back next time we visit. Thanks to all the team.More
We came here for dessert after a somewhat underwhelming dinner at Mackenzies and were blown away by the desserts! I had the summer cherry dessert and my partner the chefs creation and we were blown away by the creativity and presentation with just phenomenal flavours!...Great for gluten free too!More
