We only booked the night before so can't really complain that our table wasn't in the restaurant, the busy bar area isn't ideal for a romantic evening but at least we did manage to get a table. I had the pork which was delicious, chips were good, but the vegetables let the meal down for us. My husband had the duck... More

Staying overnight in Bridgnorth we asked a number of folk where we should eat - they all said the King's Head. We were not disappointed - many thank to the staunch advocates of the King's. We had both fish and meat - all cooked really well. The choice of wines was good and well-priced. The staff were friendly and attentive... More

Lovely food, staff, ambience and a chilled out Stable Bar across the courtyard. Consistently good menu and good ales. Warm and friendly with open fires. Great place for lunch and dinner with partner or bigger group. Highly recommend as one of best places to eat and have a drink in Bridgnorth

We dined here on Saturday evening to celebrate our friends special birthday. It was very busy and you must book your table a couple of weeks at least in advance but we were shown to our table by the lovely friendly waiter. 2 of us chose the black pudding scotch eggs and 2 of us the pan fried garlic king... Have eaten here a few times and always good main meals. Would avoid the starters as although very good, very small and you feel a bit ripped off.

We had lunch there. My wife had a burger and I had the lamb shoulder sandwich. It was very busy which might have accounted for the service. We were served by two members of staff. A young girl who took our order and promptly forgot about us, then an Irish guy who seemed genuinely friendly polite and delivered good service.... More

For a quick snack lunch off the sandwich menu. Super selection, great staff, fine ale HPA and Town Crier. Soups instead of chips is a great idea. Quick attentive service and staff, brilliant atmosphere fab venue.

We had an enjoyable meal. I had lamb from the specials board and this was a shank with a tandoori style sauce. It was excellent . Others had standard lamb shanks which were good and a burger. The plates were cleared and the service was excellent

We decided on Bridgnorth today, a beautiful little town. We had the duck, lamb and homemade burger. All three meals tasted fantastic with pleasant and efficient service. We sat in the bar area where our mini schnauser was allowed. Our son said it was the best burger he had ever had! Cant wait to come back.
