Cowan Bridge Tearoom was a perfect stop-off as we drove home to West Yorkshire from our holiday cottage in Northumberland. The tearoom is off the side of the village shop and is a real vintage/knitted haven - and is just like having tea in your nana's front room. Knitted teacosies hang from the ceiling and there is so much to... More

I live in Kirkby Lonsdale and I have never been here!!! Parking is round the rear of the shop/tearoom and you are asked to pay £1 to park. As we entered it was hard to see where the tearoom was (maybe make it a little more obvious, as I thought I had gone in the wrong place) very friendly and... More

We just came across this little gem by accident, driving by on the A65 between Ingleton and Kirkby Lonsdale, when my wife said let's stop here for a cuppa. Lovely vintage tearoom with vintage teapots and crockery. Food choices were basic, mainly sandwiches and toasties, but lovely, fresh, well presented. Perhaps could do with one or two more unusual dishes???... More

We had learned about this little gem having shared a table with the owner, Geoff, at a bakery/cafe in Kirkby Lonsdale on our way to Cumbria and said that we would call in on our way back home and we are so glad we did. This is a delightful little cafe which is attached to the local store. It has... More

This was a gem. We were taking the longest most picturesque trip from Yarm down to Manchester for our flight home. How we ended up here I have no idea and would probably struggle to find this place again. But what a find it is. Was slightly put off walking into such a crowded store but then when I realised... Stopped here on our way back from Yorkshire to Cumbria. We have passed many times and have always wanted to stop here which we did at long last - & are we glad we did! We received a warm welcome and were delighted with the vintage décor and homely surroundings. The tearooms are full of lovely, vintage items - a... More

Called here bank holiday Monday mid walk. Really lovely we sat outside and had toasted tea cakes and coffee. The tea cakes were delicious as were the coffees. Lovely cups and saucers with cute milk jug and spoons and lovely plates. The latte came with a sugar stick and the filter coffee with a little short bread heart. Also the... More

Very pleasant place to stop , like an old fashioned tea room. Very handy for stopping off the A65. Food nothing original or special but was tasty enough . Lots of interesting items in the cafe , ( old postcards , pictures , sweets etc ) . There is a village shop / post office attached .
