We waited 40 mins for this, we were told we would have to, so I expected something special. The Paella was luke warm the few pieces of chicken and rabbit tough and bony. There was an overwhelming taste and smell of paprika and no hint of saffron. Very cheap ingredients for an overpriced meal . The restaurant was scruffy, the... More

We had lunch here as part of a large group and were able to watch the entire paella cooking process. Lovely spot in the country and the paella with rabbit, chicken, duck and snails was unlike any I've ever had before.

We visited La M and enjoyed a long afternoon with friends totally devoted to paella. Cooked outside on a wood fire by the owner - a master paella chef - the dish that resulted will define paella for me for a long time - maybe forever. The restaurant is informal, even rustic, and surrounded by rice fields in the countryside... More

The restaurant isn't, unfortunately, the memorable part of this experience. Due to the location of the restaurant ( in the wetlands ) there are approx 1,000,000,000,000,000,000 Mosquitos per square meter, all waiting for a host. It was awful, if you take a repellent then you will probably be ok. Wish I had read this review before going....... Food was ok,... More

Like others, our taxi driver (part time!) from Valencia had a little difficulty finding it, but it was certainly worth the trouble. My eels starter was fantastic as were our other selections. We opted for a seafood paella for our which was really good although I regret not getting the traditional meat version (chicken & rabbit). reasonable priced with good... More

Food is mediocre at best .Paellas are easy to find in Valencia anywhere and this restaurant paellas are basically the ONLY choice and they are at best acceptable .However the real real problem is the service ! I celebrated a birthday in this restaurant and invited 22 persons I paid $30/person not cheap but not excessive either. I arrived with... More

It was a journey getting to and from this restaurant set in the rice fields, but it was worth the trip. Wonderful patio seating. Great appetizers (calamares, especially) and paella options. Wished we could see the paella being cooked over the wood flames. We took a taxi ride there for 20 euros from downtown Valencia and on the way back... More

Being taken to this restaurant by one of it's regular guests was a wonderful experience. The food is fresh and fabulous and the Paella excellent. The wine list is broad rangeing and the welcome is as if you are part of the family. A little bit of a drive from Valencia (10 mins), set in the rice fields-which makes it... More

We really wanted to try an authentic Paella, not only did we get an authentic paella - the experience was one of our favorites. It was raining out but we sat outside on the patio with what seemed like family and friends of the owners, we were made to feel like we were family as well. The food was so... More
